We'll packaged. It's a lovely colour and extremely practical. Keeps flies and bugs away from the fruit. Looks lovely on my worktop.

Update: I may have been a little harsh in the initial review. It seems like the fruit flies somehow lost interest in the fruits inside this basket. Some days later and I am surprised to confirm that I am not finding any more flies inside, every time I go to check.I still think, however, that the mesh should be double-layered. Or, if they keep it single-layered, the holes should be smaller. Twice as small maybe?I'm only giving 4 stars because of the other issue I've described in the initial review.INITIAL REVIEW:It does NOT stop the fruit flies from getting inside. If they were to use two layers of mesh with slightly different hole patterns, it would have done the job. For the 17 euros I've paid for this basket, I would expect it to have two layers of mesh and do what it says in the description.Also, if you put the lid on tight, it won't come off again. You'd have to use a knife or something to separate the two halfs. If you don't use a knife, and try to separate them using your hands, you risk breaking or bending the basket. In order to avoid dealing with this, just drop the top half on top of the other.Overall, I only like the design of this basket, but it isn't very well thought. It's got the looks, but is totally useless.

This arrived squished and the box tore.When I opened it to see if inside was the same I cut my finger on the loose mesh and edging, it was completely out of shape and would not have been suitable even if it had been in shape as the sharp bits of mesh where poking out and cut my fingers at several places.I would not recommend this item from this seller.

Ordered this thinking it was supposed to be an apple, but then my aunt pointed out that it looks more like a big tomato & now I can’t unsee it lol. Guess it could be either really. But it works pretty well & goes along with the red accents in our kitchen.
