Make sure you have solid footing and support underneath - too soft will not allow for the hardware to bend/implode the way you need it to for a secure fit/install. Before you strike the driving pins with your mallet confirm that you are absolutely straight and not crooked in both left-right and forward-backward direction.Other details:- Finish and color are aesthetic and should look great on a variety of leather types/dyes- There are thankfully no words (manufacturer or otherwise) on these snaps (instead there are stars around the button, which isn’t the best but not terrible to look at)- I dyed my leather after adding the snaps, and I immediately wiped off the dye after applying (no dye streaks remained on the snaps hardware)Recommendation:I do recommend this product.

Works well for flaps, etc, but not what you want to button down a tarp or something
Works well, but I tried to use one to snap down a belt strap for a knife sheath, and it just wouldn't do the job. Should be great for belt pouches, purse flaps, maybe small backpack pouches, but it's not a zipper or a shoelace, not going to bear force without just unsnapping.
