It like it that it still allows a good amount of sunlight coming through.For application, it was simple and easy. The video on this page here was really helpful. We cut the approximate size first, stick the film on the window, and finely cut out the excess bit. It was easy to apply on our window. We just used a debit card to smooth it and remove the bubbles. Took us some time as we had no experience but we are happy with the result!It’s towards the expensive side but I would better have some of good quality.

Positives: The film is great, nothing can be seen from outside. Easy to install in small pieces, it's a bit more tricky and it needs more maneuvering in larger pieces. Easy to cut to measure. It has been installed for a little awhile now and it seems to hold well in place.I learnt that cutting it 1-2 mm smaller than the size needed, it made the installation easier. For larger pieces, it's easier to have some help as it gets trickier to move.Drawbacks: Patience is required during the installation of larger pieces. The glass where you are going to install it, it must be spotless if the film doesn't seem to hold in place or stick to the glass. Although the glass was cleaned by hand and it seemed cleaned to the eye, I had a problem with the film sticking to it, it kept unpeeling. However, after it was cleaned with an electric brush, washing up liquid and elbow grease for several minutes, the film stuck to the glass without any problems.

Looks great, simple tools are something to spray water onto the window (lots of it) and a craft knife used for trimming, finally a soft cloth to remove any trapped air bubbles. A ruler for a straight edge to trim against is also useful.Very pleased with the results, looks like frosted glass. At night when the light is on, the privacy factor is high. The closer your are to the window the more detail could be seen but still obscured.Would recommend and buy again if I needed to.Some tips for those reviews that said it does not stick, the instructions tell you to peel the backing off first, then apply water, I found the film would stick itself to the window with water and static and I then moved it into place and trimmed it. If the edges overlap with the window seal, it will cause a bubble in that place, trimming the edge and making it a little shorter allowed the film to stay flush to the window. Enjoy and have fun...

Really disappointed, I wanted this to work so much but was tentative after reading some of the reviews. Nowhere on the listing does it say it can’t be used on all types of glass. It just says ‘works perfectly on smooth glass’. This is incredibly misleading. We have a slight texture to our glass, I didn’t even imagine it would be a problem, but hours later the moisture still shows these little ‘pockets’ which can’t be smoothed down. When I tried to dry it in a quicker way the film just completely fell off the window. Not good. Their listing needs to be more clear that it ONLY works on smooth glass.*edit* and to top it off it completely comes off in the sun! Our window is south facing, it just falls off the window as soon as the water has dried. Useless.
