She wanted something a bit different from the normal black/white/chrome and this fitted the bill. The toaster looks great with the grey and rose pink colouring and certainly stands out. The toaster, especially the rose gold part is plastic so don't be fooled into thinking it's any kind of metal, but for the price it's understandable. As a toaster it works perfectly as it should and with Kenwood you know you have a reliable brand.

Have been using this awhile now and although it toasts adequately it does have its minor niggles when using. The pop up is not great it often stops turns off at the end of the chosen setting but does not pop up fully. you have to jiggle the carrier nob or push it back down re-start then stop it to get your item out, not so bad with a slice of bread that is high up but is awkward with crumpets or muffins. Toast quality good but would I chose a different model next time - yes .

Generally okay. Only minor grumble is that the little leg at the front of the toaster that stops it tipping forward when you push the start lever down is approx 2mm too short. I have put a small piece of cardboard underneath this leg to prevent the toaster tipping forward. The alternative (if the top of toaster is not hot), is to place one hand at the back of the toaster to hold it down whilst pushing down on the start lever.There are no suggested timer settings in the instructions. Here's what I've found to work well for my preferences: for Warburtons Seeded Batch Loaf, set 4. For fruit loaf, set two and a half. For crumpets, turn it to max.
