I thought this might be a more sustainable alternative to the commercial spray oil bottle that I've been buying that are sealed so I have to throw them away when they're emptied. The big difference here is that the commercial versions have really wide spray that is more of a mist that worked really well for coating a frying pan - because of how far back the nozzle for this spray is set within the metal housing (see my photos) it has quite a narrow jet spray format, which is more like pouring the oil than spraying it. It's a shame because I really like the wide finer misty spray. Spraying a single jet pile means I have to put as much work into distributing it evenly across the surface as I would pouring it. But if the jet was wider it would hit the inside of the cosmetic metal cap - It works, it's functional, it could just be so much better with a few design tweaks.

Item looks good and works, however, the oil comes out in a stream tater than a spray. I expected that it would evenly distribute the oil but it just arrived in one area. It still helps control how much oil you use, however you have to spread the oil over the food as a separate activity.

Meant to spray the oil. It doesn’t! Just gives a jet stream of oil which is too much! waste of money

These are handy things to have in the kitchen or on the dining table. I have a few of this style each dedicated to a different thing. Great for spraying a controlled amount of either vinegar, salad dressing, oil or water onto food.For things like salad dressing or vinegar it allows you to get an even light coating of it onto the food without drowning it. For oil its great as you get a nice even coating but in small healthy amounts which is especially handy in things like air-fryers as the food is healthier & clean up is much easier afterwards. Lastly for water; If I've bought or pre-made things like naan, flat, pitta or tortilla breads I like to give them a quick reviving spray of water before I reheat them. They heat more evenly & stay pliable. Also when baking bread I often use a water spray to promote better crust formation.The bottle comes in an attractive cardboard box should you be buying it as a gift, The bottle itself is constructed of Plastic, Polypropylene & Stainless Steel & has a 100ml capacity. It works better with less viscous fluids like water or vinegar, with these it will produce a fine mist with each pump. For oils its best to stick to light oils, or at least oil that is warm & therefore free-flowing. Some oils like extra virgin cold pressed olive oil, or coconut can congeal at colder temperatures & may block the narrow feed tube & atomiser. The atomiser nozzle is recessed to stop any residue attracting dust or dribbling down the body & onto the table.A handy thing to keep around in the kitchen, it says currently unavailable at the moment which is a shame as they're worth getting.

This spray bottle for oil is stylish and very useful when you only want to add a small amount of oil to grease a pan or coat food. The spray area is not very wide, it came out as more of a blob than a spray so I had to use a brush to spread the oil but I like the fact that it is easy to control how much oil I am using so that I don’t waste it and am not adding more than I need. It is clean to use and easy to fill although I did find it a bit chunky to use as my hands are not large. It does look as though it should hold more than it does. I left it for a while after washing it initially to make sure it was dry before filling it but having done this once I don’t envisage needing to wash it again any time soon. I think it is a little more expensive than I would expect to pay but it will get used a lot.
