It does exactly what it says, works well for all the normal xmas nuts, (not tried all types). It would have been nice if the rubber on the handle was a little bigger or softer, as you reach the point of, is this nut about to blast into orbit.

This is a very stylish pair of nut crackers, after many years of trying all sorts of modern types which either didn't work or fell to bits its nice get a hard working old fashioned pair. Well worth the money/

They’re not heavy duty, but they do the job. Pivot is a bit looser than I would like. I would recommend this product.

I was quite disappointed with this nut cracker. I use it mostly for hazelnuts, but it does not fit well the size of hazelnuts. Otherwise, it's a good solid thing and not too slippery.
