Basically plug and play. Find the bulb in the app, then you can customise lighting, colours, brightness, etc. Overall there's a good level of control, they get pretty bright too, and lots of colours. They intergrate well with other smart home devices too.

I’ve been using the Tapo Smart Bulb for a while now, and I’m really happy with it! The setup was super easy—just screw it in, connect it to the Tapo app, and you’re good to go. No need for a separate hub, which is a big plus.The app is simple and intuitive, allowing me to adjust brightness, set schedules, and even control the light when I’m not home using the Away Mode. It also works perfectly with Alexa, so I can just ask to turn the light on or off without lifting a finger.Another great feature is Device Sharing, so my family can control the light too. The bulb itself is bright and energy-efficient, making it a great choice for smart home setups.Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable and reliable smart bulb, this one is definitely worth considering!

Super easy to set up as I had the app for a surveillance camera. Less than a minute after turning it on for the first time I was controlling it with my alexa devices. Perfect brightness for a bedside lamp. Totally recommend!

For this price band, it is extremely good. Very easy to install, especially if you are already a Tapo user/customer. You can literally connect it with your Tapo app, and start enjoying making the most out of the smart features. You can create automation using the bulbs and your camera. Colours are all very nice. It could be a lot better tho. The brightness can be a little bit better. It can flicker when it is on low brightness levels. I think the most annoying part is the limitations on colour selection. It works wonders with the preset colour options and I'm sure it supports millions of colours but the section in the app you can change the colour is almost impossible to use. I wish the app was allowing us to use HEX or RGB codes to pick a colour. Overall for this price, it's lovely. Buy a Tapo camera and some LED stripes. You and your neighbours will be impressed. Be careful tho, you wouldn't want your neighbours to call the police on you for having aliens in the house

Great bulbs they actually works and pair without issue. App is great. I've had a lot of different smart bulbs, some Bolo just switch off the smart functions without notice. Some (wiz) need to be repaired every month and then take for ever to do. Tapo app works great, I found my smart bulb supplier moving forward. Good stuff. Thanks.

Really happy with these, some bulbs are too bright for my eyes but you can adjust the brightness on these, and you can have a cool or warm light, or colour if ur watching a film. It was really easy to set up aswell, just downloaded the app and followed the instructions, took about 5 mins on each bulb to set them up on the app so now I can adjust, turn on/off from my phone, cool .

Very pleased with these, bought for lamps and easy to set up, name, group and use with its app and with Google Home. I needed them to be dimmable and change the colour to make for a warmer light. I have them set to come on automatically at sunset, at 25% warm white, and I can turn them all off at a single command, change brightness and colour. One bulb has occasionally lost sync but I only had to manually switch it off and back on for it to reconnect.Very pleased and make life just a little bit easier. Had for a few weeks now and wouldn't be without them. Highly recommend. Seem very good value for the money and will buy more if needed for other rooms.

Bulbs have been working, had no issues until today when a storm caused our power to trip a few times. By this I mean the power cut for a few seconds before coming back on. All of my Tapo bulbs lost their WiFi settubgs and had to be reconfigured. In addition the Tapo light switch lost the bulb settings. I have other bulbs (Hue and Innr) which were fine, so a Tapo issue. Will stick with Hue and Innr in future.I have Tapo plugs which recovered perfectly, only the bulbs affected.

One bulb was faulty, otherwise great product
One of the lightbulbs did not work. Otherwise easy to set up, very similar setup experience like with other Tp-Link smart items that I have a good few. Never had an issue with any of them, possible that this faulty lightbulb is only a one of a kind...at least I hope so....
