I wasn't sure if this would be too much for a 7 year old but he loves rollercoasters and building so figured we could build with him if needed. The step by step instructions were very helpful and after the first 2 simpler builds that were straight and a hill, my son was able to build this mostly by himself. He tested and manipulated the loops to get it working and then explored putting coins in the carriage to weight it as different positions and weights. It was really good fun and unintentionally educational. The cost was definitely worth it. As he gets older reading the book and the controlled experiments will be great. For now it is fun.

Good if difficult building activity for 7 year old. Only disappointment is that it is a static rather than battery operated roller coaster- relies on gravity of track -but that's probably due to the experimental activities of motion and balance. Good quality parts

Wow! This was so much fun! The set provides about 20 challenges to build frames and tracks. After building about 3 of challenges with the help from adults our kids completely understood the principle and idea and could continue by themselves. It was hours of fun for everyone! Highly recommended.

Grandson really liked this and enjoyed building different Rollercoasters.However the Launcher was disappointing and did not work all of the time.Other reviewers stated that they were disappointed with the Launching mechanism as well.Otherwise the quality is good and well made.

un ennui avec la voiture..... retour du produit et tout s'est fait vite et bien.... merci à Bolo...remboursée, j'ai recommandé le même produit devant l'insistance de mon petit fils car il adore ce jeu...... attention article assez fragile , à manipuler avec douceur....., sinon très bien pensé!!!!

Bought as a gift and the grandchildren love it ! Very versatile and can change the track for different outcomes ! The package came on time and was not damaged! Great Stem product and awesome product for the engineer in the family! Overall great quality material and would recommend it for purchasing !!

Great toy but needs some kinks worked out.
As I tried to illustrate in the pictures, I didn't follow the typical building model. However, my complains are not caused by that. My biggest one is the track system on the "cars", they are not tight enough and tend to wobble around, reminding me of early hot wheels tracks that would create too much bouncing and movement in the structure to be sound and therefore stay together. The only other would be the consistency of the part fittings. Most fit together nicely and stay together, however you do run across those parts with loose fittings here and there which I salt with hot glue. Overall, this is a great product and much fun for kids.
