Fixed my leaky tap. Been trying to find a replacement insert unsuccessfully for a ages but this did the trick. Didn't use the 'O' ring but I will when the bottom washer becomes compressed over time.

I found the right cartridge for my Bristan taps, but these spares are not right. They were shown by Bolo as a purchase to go with the cartridge. The ceramic disks are too thin. In the end I cleaned out the inside of the old cartridge and applied a little plumbers’ grease and all is well.

Used this kit to deal with a dripping mains pressure half inch (12mm) ceramic tap cartridge. No hunting for a replacement cartridge of right dimensions and the correct number of splines, just gently prise out the silicone washer and shake out the ceramic disks taking note of which component goes where. Pop the new ceramics in making sure they drop into place and press in the new silicone component, red in a hot tap and blue in a cold tap, finger pressure only. The chief problem was finding the isolating valves!
