The stick does deflate and it will be a chore to fix but a patch is included with the box. Has some amercan slang or phrases that would not be able to get to but can add to the fun! Hey batter, batter?! We enjoyed and will pick up to play a lot.

This was a Xmas gift for a family member that likes to play games.This was different to other games we play, but it was fun!Easy to learn, just use one syllable words, use 2 and get hit!Can be quite difficult to describe things, makes you think, but when in the swing of it you find yourself rambling off one word sentences.If you buy the NSFW version, please do not play around kids!

Boardgames can be a tricky choice especially if being played only occasionally as often games have rules that can take time for a group to pick up and then just not be that much fun after all the effort. However Poetry for Neanderthals has easily been the best party game I've played in a while and no matter who I've played it with, everyone has really enjoyed it.To start off the rules of the game are incredibly simple which makes it very quick and easy for anyone to pickup, you simply need to describe a word from a card without using words that have more than one syllable. It's something that sounds easy to do but it really isn't and watching people struggling to think of suitable words or being caught out when they use a multi-syllable word is entertaining in itself. I can't remember what set them off but I particularly remember a pair of friends trying to do their round and struggling they had tears from laughing too hard over what they'd been trying to describe and guess.There are some rules about getting 3 points for a more complex version of the original word but whenever I've played with we've just ignored the 3-point words to keep it simple. There are some very Americanised words so we've usually agreed if one of those comes up, the person gets a free skip.If you're looking for a fun game to play for a change I'd definitely recommend giving this a go.

This is a really good game, it's fun if you're extroverted and can think quickly. It's probably not for very young children but it is genuinely hilarious, especially the ability to hit your friends on the head with an inflatable bat!

This is an absolute must for any boardgame enthusiast, and is suitable for all ages. I've played it at weddings, at boardgame nights, at parties, drunk, sober, and it never ever gets old. Learning how to speak in one syllable words against the clock creates some absolutely unforgettable moments with friends and family.The actual contents of the box are of high quality, though I will admit it can be somewhat difficult to inflate the club with just your mouth so you may want to get a small air pump to save you five minutes of blue faced puffing.

A very simple yet super fun game. It is family friendly, and the kids particularly enjoy using the inflatable club to dish out the retribution when you misspeak! I've also played with a group of adults and it is just as fun.There's a good number of cards to give the game a lifespan, so you won't get bored after one game!

Bought this for my husbands birthday weekend as we normally spend it with friends, tucked away in a country Air bnb. Although slightly sceptical about the concept and playability for those participants for whom the word "Poetry" fills them with fear, dread or just plain boredom, once we got going and everybody realised that it wasn't poetry at all most of the time we spent rolling around with laughter. The "NO" stick was a bonus which added to the hilarity of the game. However, we had to impose penalties for the stick wielders who took liberties with how much force was used to carry out their duties.Why we haven't given the game more than 3 stars is that the subject matter and words that you need to describe are written for American players. For example: one card will have the 1 point word CANDY written at the top and for the 3 points COTTON CANDY. In the UK the word CANDY is very rarely used and nobody would say Cotton Candy is it's known over here as CANDY FLOSS. There were also cards that referred to American football player positions etc.Aesthetically there is little to say about the actual game as it's quite simple. The packaging is engaging but a little oversized if you're thinking of taking it away and space/weight is an issue.The price is a bit steep for what it is, but if Exploding Kitten make available an expansion card kit for the game, as they have for some of their other games, as well as a UK compatible version, it'll certainly give dividends in laughter for many years to come.Overall we really liked the game and hope that Exploding Kitten look at making a UK version. We like it so much that we have already customised our set by printing out alternative phrases and words on stickers to replace some of the US cards.

“Ball go up; ball go down. What ball do?” You can’t think of the word ‘bounce’? Fine, your family will mock you for ever. “Small grain, put in hot box go ping”, your mum will laugh until she weeps, even if she doesn’t get ‘popcorn’. My entire family is dead from laughing. This review coming to you from “hot bad place get poked by red dude with horns”. Fun for all ages, but please ensure elderly players are bopped gently, it’s only fair.

Gioco divertentissimo, la mazza gonfiabile rende il tutto ancora più simpatico. Ti mette alla prova perché devi fare attenzione all'usare le parole più colloquiali e rozze possibile. Ottimo gioco per chi studia lingue o linguistica.

Sehr lustiges Spiel!

Ein sehr lustiges Spiel von den Machern von "Exploding Kittens". Es müssen Begriffe in unterschiedlichen Schwierigkeitsgraden (teilweise zusammenhänge Begriffe) einsilbig erklärt werden. Ähnelt dem Spiel Tabu jedoch dürfen alle Begriffe verwendet werden nur eben einsilbig und man klingt dadurch wie ein Neandertaler. Rutscht einem doch ein mehrsilbiger Begriff raus, darf das Gegenüber einmal kurz mit dem aufblasbaren Schläger draufhauen. Ein sehr lustiges und tolles Spiel. Kann ich nur empfehlen!
