5.0 out of 5 stars As an 'endpoint' device, it's as good as it gets!
Built to Ubiquiti's high standards and well-presented in it's (still-sealed) box, this device is minute. I thought that the Netgear device it was replacing was small, but this is even smaller! Unlike the Netgear, this does not have mounting slots on its base for screws, so cannot be fixed to the rear of a desk or cabinet - that said, it's small enough to allow the use of double-sided tape, provided the surface being fixed to was flat and dust-free.There have been comments made by some reviewers that it lacks POE passthrough - this would not be possible, as loading all four of its ports to the maximum power would overload the power capabilities of not only the units Port 1, but also the upstream device, as well as result in significant volt drops down the network cable. Some might think that the solution to this would be to use the external power supply; this will not work either, as the external power feed is 5Vdc - but the POE voltage is circa 50Vdc, thus removing the capability to use USB and requiring a far larger mains power supply.When supplied, I attached it to my existing network and it immediately showed in the device list, with a status of 'Pending Adoption'. I selected Adopt, it was then added to the existing install, checked for a firmware update (there was) and installed same, restarting once complete - all in all, utterly painless. First impressions - an excellent device, superb value for money. From a functional perspective, it does very well what it's supposed to do, with LED's on the individual ports for status, which are mirrored on the cloud management system.

The USW Flex Mini is a compact and reliable Layer 2 switch that supports power by PoE or 5V 1A via Type C. It works with the UniFi Cloud and is recommended for existing Ubiquiti users who require a Gigabit network only.Please note that the product comes with an EU power adapter and a UK converter.

Great smal switch, be warned this does not come with a UK plug so you need a USB charger to connect this to, You can also power over PoE but I would suggest ordering a plug at the same time.

Unlike most other Ubiquiti products this is rather cheap however still a great product. Used it as a switch behind a TV for all the video stuff (TV, Nvidia Shield, gaming console). Really small, size of a deck of cards. Powered via POE from my Ubiquiti UDR so takes up even less space as it doesn't need it's own power supply.Very easy to adopt into Unifi controller. It is still a managed switch meaning that you can select a VLAN for every port individually. HOWEVER, it does not support custom VLAN profiles. For example, each port can carry either all traffic or you can pick a single VLAN. However, it cannot carry a custom profile consisting of 2 or more specific VLANs. I imagine that most people will be using for a similar basic setup as mine so this is not a big deal.

This is the perfect UniFi switch for a home office, especially considering its price. I have a Dream Router downstairs with a 30m CAT 6 cable running to this switch in my office with a Wi-Fi access point attached. Despite the length of the cable run, the switch is entirely powered though PoE and delivers gigabit to my wired client devices and AP.Just be aware that while switch is powered by PoE, it cannot provide PoE itself. For my purposes this is fine since my AP came with a PoE injector. Besides that limitation, anything plugged into this device is manageable through the UniFi networking app and individual ports can be assigned separate VLANs. Very cool.

Really like the product, the build quality and the price. And I like that I can power it via PoE, however you can’t manager which ports are VLAN tagged, just the whole device itself from the uplink device.

Come tutti i prodotti Ubiquiti, sai cosa compri e la paghi per questo.Lo switch di per se è uno strumento abbastanza semplice, sopratuttto nei formati da 4-5 porte, in questo caso il prezzo è giustificato dal fatto che lo inserisci in un sistema totalmente ubiquiti con tutti i vantaggi che questo comporta.Se hai un sistema Ubiquiti è un prodotto utilissimo, nel mio caso ne ho preso 2 che ho utilizzato in stanze di casa dove avevo bisogno di piu' punti di rete.Se non avete un sistema Ubiquiti sicuramente conviene puntare su prodotti qualitatiamente ottimi ma a prezzi piu' bassi.

Ik heb recent de Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Flex Mini Gbit switch aangeschaft en ik ben enorm onder de indruk van deze compacte en krachtige switch. Dit apparaat heeft mijn netwerkcapaciteit aanzienlijk verbeterd en biedt een geweldige prestatie voor zowel thuisgebruik als in een klein kantoor.Wat me het meest opvalt aan de Switch Flex Mini is de verscheidenheid aan aansluitmogelijkheden. Met vijf Gbit-poorten kan ik verschillende apparaten eenvoudig aansluiten, van computers tot printers en smart home-apparaten. Het is perfect voor mijn setup en zorgt ervoor dat ik overal in huis een betrouwbare internetverbinding heb.De flexibiliteit van deze switch is een ander groot voordeel. Dankzij het compacte ontwerp kan ik hem gemakkelijk in mijn bestaande netwerkconfiguratie integreren zonder veel ruimte in te nemen. Het is ook mooi dat het apparaat zowel binnen als buiten kan worden gebruikt, wat ideaal is voor mijn netwerkbehoeften in en om het huis.Een van de dingen die ik echt waardeer, is de eenvoudige installatie en het gebruiksgemak. Awesome flexibilitt
Very handy with our POE environment for adding extra ports in now-shared offices that were previously only 1 desk and port. Throwing a few of these around strategically still lets me manage the ports effectively without having to run dozens and dozens of extra cabling or investing in larger switches that would have limited uses in their respective spaces.

Works well, but....why Unique IP?
Works great, just confused why this thing gets its own LAN IP on my network. At first I thought it was the IP for the first device connected to it, but all of those have their own different unique IP addresses. Why does this get its own unique address? It's unmanaged. So weird.
