It is just the right size to fit perfectly around the back of my neck. When in place, it sits just below my collar bone. The first time I used it, I heated it up in the microwave for 1 min 20 seconds and it was just right. Once you have it on, your own body temperature keeps it warm. The smell is divine. I have been suffering from a pulled muscle in my neck for over a week now. This is definitely helping to relax and heal it. The second time I used it, I put it in the microwave for 1 min 30 seconds. This was far too hot to place on my neck so I will stick to 1 minute 20 seconds. I am sure it will be great for headaches also when placed over the eyes. The item is easy to use, great value for money, is beautifully hand made and smells wonderful. Once the smell of lavender starts to fade,, I intend on adding a few drops of lavender oil to mine. All in all, a wonderful product. Thank you

Unfortunately, I have to use these in a continuous cycle when I’m in pain. It does help ease the pain but unfortunately you have to keep reheating them every 10 minutes and it loses the scent of lavender after the first five in the microwave.

The product was disappointing as it was much smaller than expected and therefore expensive for the price paid. In fact we ended up making our own ones for a fraction of the price - we just cut pillow-cases to size, filled with cheap white rice and then sowed them up - you get so much more for the price, what's not to like about the home-made version?
