I was a bit cautious buying this pack as it is so reasonably priced but they are great quality and give a lovely finish. And cleaning is a wheeze too.

I've used Harris brushes all my life , great brushes , very little bristle loss , very easy to clean , performance is always first class , good comfort easy to hold , perfect brush size great value for money

Reviewed March 2022:I really rate Harris brushes, they are top quality and I've learnt that it always makes sense to pay got quality paint brushes as they are generally better quality bristles (streaks in the paint) and don't shed the bristles.If they are looked after properly in regards to cleaning and drying, will last a long time.Bristle loss is minimal, and they are fine enough to give a smooth, decent finish.Although these are packaged up as for walls and ceilings, I've used them for wood work also.I'm now only using water based paints (took a long time for me to convert), and this brushes can be long lasting if well looked after.A few tips: don't need to dunk the entire brush in the paint to clog them up, washed them and rinse them well after use, and dried flat (not upside down so water runs back in the handle)There are only a couple of brands of brushes I buy, Harris is one of them.

These Harris brushes are the best I've ever used for brush-painting emulsion on both walls and ceilings, and for gloss woodwork. I also bought a couple of Harris 3" brushes to go with this set. They are all lightweight, and the bristles are just the right stiffness. I had no spatter when doing the ceilings or walls. They lose virtually no bristles, and clean up to look like new. Great for small-medium DIY decorating jobs. The one brush I didn't like was the shorte-bristled darker 1" brush -not sure what that is supposed to be for, but it didn't seem to work for gloss or emulsion as the hairs separated in clumps resulting in an untidy finish. Maybe it would be OK for stencilling?? By contrast, the 1" with the longer paler bristles works great for emulsion AND gloss. In fact every other brush is pretty much perfect for general painting so -as there are a lot of brushes in the set and they are generally so good- I didn't dock a star for the one poorer brush.

Horrible brushes, I love Harris stuff but these are tat, the bristles are as short as they can get away with, they have a horrible plastic handle (I thought we were moving away from plastic?!) And they are nothing like the old 3 or 5 packs of cheap brushes they used to do which were comfortable for all day use, easy to clean and a delight at £1 each.
