This little vice does what it's supposed to do, but with some limitations. Being mostly made of plastic, it does tend to move around when in use. To reduce this, I filled mine with ball bearings to increase its weight, and also added some non-slip to the underside. This made it much more stable. The other improvement that could be made is adding a little lubrication to the screw thread to make it a little smoother.Other than that, it's proved to be a very useful item.

The vice is made from solid plastic and seems strong. The jaws are opened and closed by screwing a large, knurled knob which on my sample this was impossibly tight, so getting it to move at all was fairly painful work. A teflon spray on the main screw made little difference, but the unit can be made to work better if you slighly loosen the large screw on the under side of the vice so that the metal washer can slide more easily. You'll need a large crosshead screwdriver for this.

Just what I needed. Well made and easy to use when you need an extra hand to hold something while you solder or adjust something or to hold something while glue sets, and many other uses.

Schroefdraad draait niet soepel

Geen goede kwaliteit. Schroefdraad is maar zo zo en loopt aan. Zal gaan slijten. Is wel relatief goedkoop en is te gebruiken.

Das Unterteil ist aus stabilem Metall und läßt sich gut schrauben. Das Zuböhr nebst Schrauben passen auf Anheib ohne Probleme, für speziell, kleine Werkstücke, die zu bearbeiten bzw. bohren sind, ist es für den fairen Preis absolut ausreichend.
