5.0 out of 5 stars Quality with a “BUT”
I have purchased various brands over the years, the worst from Tesco / Asda.. being flimsy plastic. These are great quality, and well worth their cost. The “BUT” is how accurate they are to the A4 sizing..Not a negative, but more of a heads up !I printed 197 pages of 100gsm paper, and it took two hours to fill the pockets with the pages.I do not have any dexterity issues, but these are TIGHT !!! Firstly, I could only get one page per pocket, and you either have to break the static bond between between the sheets by inserting your hand into the pocket, or by holding the pocket in both hands, thumbs on front face and fingers on the rear, sliding the faces over each other and opening the pocket.I got into a rhythm after a while, and they work well, and the pages are supported by the green side stiffener. But you can imagine the frustration. As I had two manuals to work with @ 2 hours each. But I would purchase these again.
4.0 out of 5 stars Elba Heavy Duty - Very good for a few sheets each.
These pockets/wallets/whatever seem to be fairly solid and a good option when weighing up cost and quality. You could of course buy some extremely heavy duty pockets for around £1 each and they would, as to be expected, be "better", but considering 100 of the Elba Heavy Duty Quick-In Pockets can be purchased for around £12 delivered, meaning around 12p per pocket, these are a good option if you do not need extremely heavy duty pockets but want something better than the flimsy, crinkly pockets you will likely find in most shops.I would NOT recommend these pockets for;- Extremely heavy duty use, for example, storing of "dies" i.e. metal sheets.- Storage of large numbers of sheets per pocket.Other pockets are available for these purposes, namely the extremely heavy duty, circa £1 each pockets, and the expanding pockets, which are designed for holding a number of sheets per pocket. These Elba Heavy Duty pockets are a great step up from the flimsy pockets you commonly see. They cost approximately double but are very much worth it.Personally, I would not be using them to store more than one sheet in each pocket.Flimsy pockets are usually around 45 microns. These pockets have been mentioned as being 120 microns, which seems slightly off the mark. I am not measuring or weighing etc., but thickness is not their greatest asset, though they are much more durable than the flimsy pockets. These are what I believe to be the main strengths of these pockets;- Where flimsy pockets tend to "flop over" and crease, leaving unattractive crease marks across the pocket, these pockets "roll" when they "flop", leaving no sign of bending or creasing. You can hold the bottom of the pocket whilst holding it upright and it will just gently and smoothly roll over, without leaving any crease marks.- Sheets pretty much always move about in the flimsy pockets as they can be quite baggy. When placing sheets smaller than the pocket within the pocket, it is inevitable that the sheet will move within the pocket, possibly damaging the edges and also looking untidy. This is not the case with the Elba Heavy Duty pockets. When you put your sheet in, the fit is very close (which is why I recommend them for single sheets). I have used the pockets for sheets 1-2 inches smaller on each edge than A4, and these pockets hold the sheet almost "in suspension". I can position the smaller sheet right in the middle of the pocket, with an inch or two space all around it, and even when holding the pocket and putting no pressure on the sheet (i.e. my fingers are not holding the sheet, only the edge of the pocket) and shaking my hand up and down, the sheet does not move whatsoever. I have tried this with a single sheet and also a thick, twice folded sheet (i.e. four pages thick), and the pocket holds the sheet like it is in a vacuum. Taking the sheet out and putting another in does not lessen this either. Hopefully the pockets will maintain this "grip" for a long time.- Easily readable through the clear material.Bear in mind;- There is a small arrow in the top left hand corner, showing where to introduce your sheet into the pocket. There is also a small Elba logo in the bottom left hand corner, about an inch in from the edge. This may frustrate people who want an entirely empty viewing space. It would be good if it was not there, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. In summary;- Not extremely thick, but so much better than the flimsy pockets and much cheaper than extremely heavy duty pockets, so if your purpose is basically one or a few sheets per pocket, I would recommend these.- These pockets hold your sheet almost as if "in suspension" with their vacuum-like grip.- Smooth roll over, not a harsh "flop"/crease.- Very clear and easy to read through.- Small logos within the viewing surface which are undesirable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really useful for filing all sorts of information.
I really like transparent pockets ... I use a lot of them and they are a great way for getting information organised. These A4 clear pockets from Elba are already punched (a whole strip has been punched making them immediately ready for using in almost any ring binder or lever arch file. Each top loading pocket (100 of them are supplied) has a green strip along the hole punched edge which offers greater reinforcement to the holes making them less likely to tear. Also the smooth transparent plastic is of a good thickness and the papers inserted are very clear to read.I have quite a few display folders each with around 100 to 150 of these transparent pockets (yes I've purchased more of these). I use them mainly to file pages from magazines that I want to keep. For example I've labelled three folders (gardening, home and cooking) and when I see something in one of my subscription magazines relevant to any of these folders ... Gardening: plants, shrubs, articles - home: articles and decor ideas - cooking: recipes etc.The great thing about these pockets is that they enable you to either file one single magazine page inside a pocket giving you access to both sides of the article or if only one side of the page is required you can then file two pages back to back. This makes your folders work like books with information being shown on the back and front of each page pocket). These pockets can also be used for filling bank statements, invoices etc. and they are also a boon to students for school or college work.Brilliant.

Parfaites !
