After reading some of the reviews I decided to start by applying this quite thickly with a flat foundation brush (make sure you clean it with warm water before it dries). The first thing I noticed as I applied it was the smell, it reminded me of PVA glue so wasn't overly impressed from the off.Before use I exfoliated, cleansed and then washed with an oil cleansing wash to make sure my pores were open and there was very little oil on my face.It dried well after about 15-20 mins, I applied this thickly enough that you could not see my skin with the intention of peeling it all off in one go and giving it a chance to pull as much out of my pores as possible. It peeled off well and seemingly pulled something out of my pores (See photo), although I didn't notice a visible difference in my pores I am sure that if I was to use this on a regular basis I would see an improvement, but I am just put off by the smell to keep using it. The 3 stars are for the visible evidence that it was doing something, the missing stars are for the smell

I wanted something to help with the blackheads. I’ve tried a few face masks and skin care products but nothing seemed to help. I have sensitive skin so this was a factor.I was not disappointed with this product! I tried it separately, before and after a shower. I’d recommend doing this after a shower due to the pores being more open.I would recommend leaving it on for 15 - 20 mins, instead of the 10 mins it states on the box - it needs longer to harden for you to peel it off. It has a cool sensation on the skin, can feel slightly burning when first applied but that goes after a few mins.Make sure you evenly apply the mask, if you put more on one area than the other, it can still feel googey when you go to peel.I’m definitely buying again! It might take a few times before you see results but I saw them instantly.

This stuff works really well. Just don't get it on your eyebrows! Also, double check after removing as it can leave traces in wrinkles, making me look like a ventriloquist dummy.

I used it on my cheeks and removes a few white heads but mostly took vellus hairs. It is thick, opaque and dries quickly. It was not difficult to remove and was painless.

I’m really impressed with this. I’ve been looking at charcoal masks for a while but was worried about the dreaded peel off!I tried this one as the ingredients were great and the reviews sounded like it wasn’t the painful to rip off type!I applied the mask which smells lovely and went on nicely, let it set, and then time to remove! I opted to peel but you can wash it off also. Much to my 11 year old son’s disappointment, the mask peeled off without any discomfort whatsoever and I saw a lot of dirt from my pores come off on the mask which is great! No eyebrows were lost in the making of this purified face!I really do love this mask and I would recommend it. I have also used it just on my nose as well as all over my face and it really does remove dirt from pores and leaves my face really clean and smooth. I do have some open pores and once I’d used it my pores actually were smaller.

Great mask!
I love the Eclat line so much, been faithful since I discovered it last year. This charcoal clay mask is terrific!! Pores disappeared, redness went away & my skin was so smooth & tight. When peeling off, I felt like it was taking my peach fuzz off too - bonus! I do want to warn to avoid using around eyebrows for this very reason, you could lose a few stray precious hairs :o) Highly recommend to all!

I love it my blackheads shrunk I can barely see them now, and I just got it and used it.
