An excellent controller. Superb price for the brand and easily on a par with similar priced controllers. And the difference in functionality between brands do in my opinion, ballance out.While I don't use serato. I have tried a few other software packages with the controller and they all seen to map well.I'm also looking forward to trying my hand at some producing with this one.

I took a long time picking a controller I had an s3 traktor. But wasn’t happy with the sound. And not enough ins and outs. On opening it’s practically plug in and play. I use vdj so just had to download the driver. The sound is superb. The fader and up and downs feel great. It’s a solid bit of kit and packed with Roland’s drum machines. The platters are beautiful. The functionality and quality I feel beats pioneer as pioneer are over priced for what you get. If you’re thinking of getting the Roland. Do. You won’t be disappointed.

Can not get support from Roland.Impossible up get the updates.A shame, as could be a great bit of fun.

the machine is great but i have spent many hours trying to install 1.11 firmware following the instructions with no success (I dont understand why this firmware is not installed automatically during driver set up) . It seems that to become a DJ this days you need to be a computer expert.

Its made entirely from plastic except the metal jog wheels. No case with it but you can purchase a separate case from Gear4music at a reasonable price will you will need if you are planning on taking this on the road with you. I like the built in fx like reverb and Echo. There is a drum machine built in too. Its got a PC USB connection for Mac and PC drivers are needed which you get a disc included. The pitch sliders are rather small but effective, also key lock and temple range button. The buttons again are plastic but very effective and fast responsive. The scratching too is very effective with the job wheels. There is two headphone outputs for different jack plugs. Full Eqs and these are made by rubber actually. Trim knob and Gain levels.

This is a very user friendly mixer, which although suffers from feeling a little bit plastic-y in terms of build quality, it will do a little bit of everything you need. Ideal for small scale gigs, though you'll need something to pack it in if you're going on the road with it. It will do the job of two turntables and a mixer as well as being a decent audio interface. It works very well with Serato or Traktor, so it should be easy enough to get up and running with it. The drum machine is particularly good fun and can be used without a PC if needed.
Fantastic Serato Controller
4 years later and still one of the best pieces of DJ equipment I have ever purchased. Works great as a stand-alone Serato controller, or analog turntable mixer with a built in 808. Will stay in my gear list forever. Love it.
Buen Hardware/ Mal software
Cosas positivas: Jog wheel robustos y con muy buena respuesta (ideal para scratch), Tiene bastante buen sonido y el mixer es independiente con filtros por hardware (funciona con el software apagado); Salida de auriculares con buen volumen. Las perillas y faders se sienten robustas y con buen tacto.Cosas Negativas: La integracion con el software es pesima, muy poco intuitivo. Los pads no tienen click y tienes que acostumbrarte (dan sensacion de poca sensibilidad) estan pensados para disparar sonidos de la caja de ritmos. La entrada de microfono distorsiona con facilidad y la configuraciòn de botones y posicion de faders no se guarda con el software, esto quiere decir que cada vez que enciendes el software tienes que volver a configurar tu controlador.En resumen un controlador bastante aceptable para un software bastante limitado.
No es una controladora para todos los públicos...
Los productos Aira son la típica cosa que coges con ganas, pero que cuando tienes delante...Para empezar, NO es compacta y llevable como por ejemplo la WeGo, es UN BICHO, la 808 debe ser gigantesca. Pero al ser “generosa” salvo los faders de pitch todo lo demás es grande y espacioso. En la foto sale junto a un Push2, que ya es grande...Acabados: todo plástico, incluido frontal (Aira style). Los jogs muy buenos, aluminio y pesados.Con Serato: perfecto, integración total, otra cosa es que te guste más o no. Con Virtual DJ también perfecto (pero cobran la integración a 99€). Soporta DVS (es una 808 más barata en serio).La caja de ritmos: mola porque es como la TR8, pero honestamente la veo un poco “de pegote”, no sé si con algunos géneros irá mejor que con otros pero no se... Va perfecta eso si.Sonido: muy bueno, tarjeta de sonido de MUCHA calidad. Salida de MIDI.MI OPINIÓN: acabados mejorables por el precio, si eres de scratch, hiphop, etc seguro que te gusta. Si eres más “discotequero” igual prefieres ahorrar para una Pioneer un poquito más cara. Y llevarla la puedes llevar a los sitios, pero va a ser en una maleta XXL como la propia 808 o la Mixon.

Ignore ALL negative reviews! This a Roland product made in USA, the company that makes musical instruments! Enough is enough! It comes with full Serato DJ software and all expansion packs!!! That's alone is over a $250 value for free. Buy it if your serious about DJing and mixing music, this is the real deal. Strong buy!! Good luck!
Husband loved it
Purchased this for my husband who has been DJ for years but new to this type of controller. He loved it. Was an easy installation and software download.
