There are several different window fixtures which enable all the heat out and less heat in. Some of these fixtures also stop those pesky spiders from coming in. It's dependent on your window type but these fixtures are a nice addition.Of course you don't need to use them. You can just pop the hose vent out the window and leave it at that!===FIRST IMPRESSIONS===It's big and it looks sleek! Very nice to look at and great UI. It's noisy but it's an aircon so it is what it is.I was very happy to see you can press a button to cycle between cooler, dehumidifier, fan and heater.Comes with a remote control too which actually has a screen to show you what the unit is doing! Very useful!===FIRST USE===I turned this unit straight into cool made and dialed it down to 16c. This means the unit will attempt to make the room reach 16c, not that the air is 16c. I placed a thermostat infront of the fan and reached 11c air breeze. On [LOW] setting it's actually quite strong and can feel the air from the other side of the room. The air coming out of the back wasn't even hot but that might be because it's mid-may and the unit isn't working at full capacity yet.Getting a room from 25c down to 19c took around an hour which is fairly decent.There's a slight gurgling watery sound which I presume is the collected water being recycled around the cooling coils at the back.===SECOND/THIRD USE===Kept the unit on for several hours on [COOL] and needed to change it over to [FAN] once or twice as the room got reasonably chilling.Leaving the door open meant the cold air was making it's way downstairs and the wife began to comment how chilly it was getting.I decided to drain it to see how much water came out after 3 days and there was a reasonable amount. A good pints worth of water.===SUMMARY===Very impressed to be honest. For the price at the time of purchase (399) you can a 4-1 unit that's at 12,000BTU, multiple window fixtures (even a through-wall fixture) and a remote control that has a screen on it.The instructions are brilliant and super easy to read. Setup was as simple as unboxing, plugging it in, sticking the hose exhaust hose out the window and turning it on.Very happy with this. It's powerful and I expect the 2022 summer is going to be a breeze!===ADDITIONAL===My first order came damaged in delivery. I contacted the seller and they provided same day support.They then sent out a replacement which came the following day.They were very apologetic, polite and their service was brilliant and swift.New unit was delivered in perfect condition and old unit was collected the next day.I felt reassured during the whole process and got courtesy calls to make sure I was happy and didn't experience any problems.

I've bought this unit having done some groundwork before hand as to which unit provides best for my needs and this one came out on top.From the moment my order was placed I couldn't be happier with the customer support I received having sent several e-mails due to misunderstanding on delivery dates but recieving a reply minutes later.The unit itself comes with a sash opening window kit which is having spoken directly to the supplier is something they intend to change in the near future and are looking into differnt options. I myself have bought the hoomee window kit again available on Bolo as my windows open out. I haven't yet fitted as I've purchased this mainly for the hot summer months ahead.The unit itself looks fantastic sturdy is heavy but can be lifted by only one person if need be.The instructions are clear and concise however having spoken directly it is recommended that in all modes cooling,dry(dehumdifying),fan or hearing that the extraction hose is fitted. I was also advised to use the middle drainage port for all modes and indeed the operating booklet in the near future will be updated accordingly.Having now had the unit working for 4 hrs I can assure everyone that although it's December my bedroom sits at 28 degrees c but I've got it down within 30 mins to 25. That was one hour of cooling. In dry mode I've also noticed about 500ml of water has collected in the bucket I've placed beside the unit to catch the moisture so fat better than most single purpose dehumidifier on the market. Again that was 1hrs use. In fan mode as expected it is but a fan but as you have several settings it certainly packs a punch although this will only push out ambient air however with extractor hose outside it will also cool to a lesser extend. In heating mode should your boiler pack in and you lose heating then I can assure you that you won't go cold as this little beauty again is as good if not better than most stand alone portable heaters on the market.Hope this review has helped if you were like myself and looking for a unit which come the summer and it's all hot and sticky can reduce the heat to more manageable levels without the expense of a standalone fixed unit then please purcgase this unit making sure you do so via George's industrial Services LTD whom I can only give praise to having such a good 2 way customer services even to the extent they will call and give advice if there was 10 stars for service they would get 11.Update 19 Dec 21Now fitted the hoomee 300cm window sheet which I purchased separately on Bolo. This item works brilliantly with my air con unit as one provided as standard is only for sash windows. The portable air con unit is the best and easily cools a medium room with ease.

How much is a good night's sleep worth? How much is a summer of good night's worth?? Exactly the cost of this unit for me. I get little enough sleep having a toddler and I was on the verge of insanity from lack of sleep before getting this.It cools down the bedroom so its like a fridge, its fab. It seemed a bit noisy at first, but quickly got used to it, and I actually like the white noise effect of it now. I sleep much better with it than without it. My toddler asks for it on when she goes to sleep too.I've had it for over a year now, and there's been no problems at all. Wish I'd got it at the start of the good weather, not just when the heat got unbearable.Wish it had come with a longer hose though, or at least the option of one, as I'd prefer to trail it out my small window above, but won't reach.Yes it's a considered purchase, but so far I've had a year of better sleep, and a year of a toddler going to sleep much quicker. That's priceless.
