4.0 out of 5 stars AVID TENS USER
I had for years the Kinetix wellbeing Tens machine which served me well until it died.I decided to google the best tens machines out there and bought the top two.1) VitalTrack2) Beurer EM49 ( I bought the EM59 because it’s the upgraded version with more pros then the EM49)VitalTrack:- Company absolute nightmare to deal with- Number of programmes are not as extensive as the beurer-Biggest gripe has to be that it’s not rechargeable and solely battery operated-Pads are not sticky and they don’t sell replacement pads or gel bits anywhere.-Returning the item within 30 days has been a nightmare and they have a 90day return policy.I’ve had to go through PayPal for them to communicate with me. Even just asking a question I got no response.Beurer EM59:-Company is okay to deal with especially as we have Bolo to help us.-The item is phenomenal for the range of programs it offers, I feel like I never got the full Tens machine offer when I had the kinetik as that was basic but served its purpose.-The heat level isn’t going to be that of a waterbottle or heat pad but it’s soothing and that’s all you need.-Pain relief after using the item is amazing.-It’s easy to use- Gripe with this product is; say I just wanted to use two pads and not four, it won’t come on.- or because the sticky pads are not sticky enough it falls off, I guess it turns off for safety reasons but it’s annoying.-Battery life isn’t amazing or extremely poor just not long enough for meNow the thing I loved about my old kinetik tens machine is that the pads were sticky to the point I only replaced them after 5 years and the sticky pads are not expensive to replace. It came with a carry case. And the battery lasted ages. Obviously it’s a very basic tens machine. But I do expect more for the more pricier ones on the market. For those wondering the difference between the EM49 and EM59EM49 is battery operated and does not offer the heat option.I think everything else is the same. So if you’re not bothered about having to use batteries and not have heat then you can save a few pennies and get the 49 model. I think the 49 model pads look much better than the 59.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent option
Very good value compared to others on the market.Huge range of options for TENS and EMS which is what attracted me to this one.Easy to use and simple guidance in the book. Advanced options seem very complex but I haven't needed these.Belt clip is a bit of a waste of time as the cables are quite long and need to be bundled up in a pocket or lie beside you. I ended up wrapping them with an elastic band.Sticky pads are a consumable and need to be kept clean. If they get dusty they soon lose their sticky. Get them stuck together and you'll struggle to separate them!Regardless, pads will only last a while before the won't stick so bear this in mind - you need a supply if this is a regular use for you.I've been using it 2/3 times a week and the pads have lasted about 3 months. Can get replacements elsewhere on Bolo at very reasonable prices.Battery life seems very good - still on the originals 3 months in.If you need or are considering a TENS / EMS machine, this is an excellent option.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent machine and Manufacturer
This device is great for the price. The machine started having issues after 14 months. I emailed Beurer, they suggest a few fixes which failed. they then requested I send back the unit for repair and within 10 day I received a new unit. Great customer service from the manufacturer
3.0 out of 5 stars Good but Missing Parts
This is a great little machine, I’ve only used it for tens and massage but they seem to work really well.My only negative is that mine only came with 2 small pads when there should be 4 so it had clearly been bought and returned. I paid full price for it, in good faith that it was brand new.It would be nice if Beurer could include 2 large pads aswell as the small ones. You will have to buy more pads if you want to use this on larger muscles.Overall I’m happy with it but just getting 2 small square pads included is really rather tight, considering all other machines seem to come with a large selection.
1.0 out of 5 stars Not Fit For Purpose! Pads are pathetic!
My experience of this Beurer 'EM59 Heat' TENS/EMS device was the same as many other reviewers have also stated......FRUSTRATING!!!!THE GOOD: The unit is great. Nice size, well designed, easy & simple to use, good display.THE BAD: Whilst the length of the cable overall is OK, the length is short where they become single wires; thus making it tricky to move/apply each pad whilst others are attached. Ultimately, this puts strain on the pads & cables.THE UGLY: The damned pads! They are just awful! I used the Beurer EM59 Heat for 3 x days... then one pad stuck to my skin and came half off the pad, then one pad just seemed to partially fall off my back, and then pieces of the gel started to get stuck on my skin & clothing. I kept finding round globules of it everywhere I'd placed the pads!!Overall, very, very disappointing because the mixture of the TENS & Heat is a great combination. Beurer should be ashamed of themselves, selling a product that really isn't fit for purpose. And they don't give any extra pads in the box, and at the price I paid (well over £70) that really isn't acceptable, either.I'm returning the Beurer EM59 Heat, with many thanks to good old Bolo & the finger to Beurer.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great tens machine
Had loads of tens machines. This is by far the best. I find that it is great for temporary relief of knee pain and tennis elbow. Love the massage function, so relaxing.
Solid TENS unit
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Pros: Offers adjustable intensity with multiple modes for pain relief, muscle stimulation, and massage. Easy to use with a clear display and dual channels for targeting different areas at once. Good battery life and affordable compared to similar units.Cons: Pads lose stickiness over time and need replacing. Some settings may feel too mild or too strong, requiring adjustment.Verdict: A solid TENS unit for pain relief and muscle relaxation. Good value, but be ready to replace electrode pads periodically.
Love it!
Wasn’t expecting anything but one of best things I bought the last year. Have rheumatism and use the device doe massages and to train muscles. Works great.
Great TINS/EMS with heat
This works really well. I love the heat option. I've already started looking for replacement nodes as I've read they're hard to get (and so far that's been true). It's well made with a pretty good battery duration. The pads stick well so I definitely want to get the brand pads. The leads are plenty long enough and use the USBC port. It's slightly more expensive than other models but I think it's a descent value. It's small enough to throw in your pocket and walk around with. I've only used the EMS a few times and I don't have a lot of experience with it although it seems powerful too.
Good product for pain relief
