The interior kernel has the same grooved surface as the walnut but is somewhat more even and oval in form. The nut itself is creamier in colour, while the skin is a warmer, lighter brown. It works well in both savoury and sweet recipes, the most renowned of which being pecan pie, a southern staple.

    Stale and rancid. Very disappointed. I usually buy Sunburst pecans a kilo at a time, but they have disappeared from Bolo. Tried these and regretted it. We eat pecans every morning for breakfast so really miss the lovely fresh ones from Sunburst.I would avoid these. The new season of pecans began in September so these must be last year's old stock.
