The soles were more than I expected too.They are durable, comfortable and awesome value.I made sure I bought another.I have broad feet. I like the fit of the shoe and the design.A fantastic gift for a spouse, I love them. :0)

Lets be honest, for this price, on the high streetyou would be luck to fine a really basic direct molded sole shoe to last 6 months regular wear, so these are already a winner, comfy, wooden heel ! put stick on soles and heels before 1st wear and i would expect at least a year. stylish yes !just dont expect to pay less than £40 and get hand made, bespoke level with hand stick and virgin cattle hide. these are machine waybe mass produced, the leather is low to mid quality und soles are syntheitic. My dad was a shoemaker and if you want leather sole, heel and upper, hand stitched, made to measure and guaranteed, you will be looking at 40X this price. The box for my uk size 10 and the soles showed US size 11. they fit and were comfy out of the box and complimented my suits. no complaints, i am not one who pays for cotton and complains when i dont get silk. I WOULD BUY AGAIN BUT NEVER HAVE THE SAME SHOE TWICE AT THE SAME TIME.

Trust me, I buy clothes all the time - in particular shoes and jackets. Mine arrived this morning and I have to say, I was really impressed. Perfect fit, they look great and by far better quality than buying on the high street at such a cheaper price. You won't be dissapointed.

This morning I started my new job. I put my new shoes on and thought 'hey these look good'. I got in my car and set off to work feeling fresh and smart.Walked from my car to my new classroom and boy did my feet feel comfy.A few hours later a look down at my new shoes and see a scuff mark on both toes. That was my day ruined. I felt like I had been sold and stupidly brought some rubbish and poor quality footwear and knew my knew colleagues would see this.Now im pretty sure they think I'm cheap and a skinflint. I finished for the day got in my car and drove home.When I got in I threw my shoes on the floor in rage and noticed even the bottom of the shoe had not even lasted a day!Poor product, false reviews, cheap and nasty quality. To make it worse I have to wear these to work again tomorrow... who knows what they will look like after day 2!!!Avoid at all costs!!!

Look nice. No good in rain as when shoe starts to dry you end up with water stains on surface of shoe. A Oxford shoe should not do that. Bit upset with this purchase.Company contacted me re this review and we came to a mutual decision. I must thank the company for acting appropriately and in a professional manner

Perfect for the Price
I bought these for my dad for my wedding as he didn't want to splurge on a high end pair when it wasn't his style/wouldn't wear again. For the price we were expecting poor quality and likely an uncomfortable fit. We were wrong on both counts. They look great, the shoes held up through a 14 hour outdoor wedding that ended with torrential downpour, and they didn't hurt his feet or cut into his ankles at all. My brother in law ended up ordering a pair for himself after trying them on. Great shoe for a reasonable price.
