In Jan 16 we visited a Dog owners home with the RSPCA to rescue a Woofer who was said to be in a very sorry state of neglect. On arrival we faced a woofer typical of the dogs seen in the TV adverts which was just total skin and bone. Needless to say we came home with her, and following a visit to our Vet and being given a great deal of love, devotion, and food by us over a few weeks, she has developed into a just drop dead gorgeous Woofer. Her best mates are our other 4 rescue Woofers. You can see it in her eyes and her emotions that every day is for her a new beginning and a life that she had previously totally given up on. She has a lot of missing history in her life, mostly due to her previous owners total disinterest in her, but she was possibly a Mini Poodle. As she put on weight she has now developed into a Woofer that looks more like a Cockerpoo cross which has also been backed up by our Vet and Dog Groomer, so following a suggestion from our Groomer we grabbed hold of a DNA test kit. This looked like a great kit on Bolo so we purchased one, and it was with us in 2 days by recorded delivery. Supplied instructions were excellent and included 4 swabs and a return envelope together with a document to complete. We had some questions re the document but a phone call to the supplier International Biosciences very soon resolved my questions, and we happily returned everything back to them, again by recorded delivery. Within 2 days we had a phone call from IB to confirm receipt of our test kit and to confirm timescale for results, Within 2 hours of this call we received an e-mail inviting us to include a photo of our Girl which they would include on our Certificate. This we sent over to them. A week later we received the initial results of the DNA tests by printable e-mail, and the next day in the post we got their official documents. A Certificate, with picture, confirming her breed, and guidance notes to explain everything including potential problems with the Breed of Woofer. It just confirmed everything we wanted to know about our rescue woofer and as it turned out she was a purebred Mini Poodle, which not only surprised us, our Vet, our Groomer Sam, but our Poodle Meesha was also surprised. What we must state is that the level of communication from these Guys at IB has been the best experience for us, either by post, phone, or e-mail, these Guys have really been the Bogs Dollocks. You need to check out your Woofer and it's history or potential health problems???, whoever you go to check out the DNA and get those results then these Guys at IB have got to be your very first choice. Totally, totally. totally recommended by us and our rescue Meesha.

Never heard back from them carried out test sent by recorded delivery and never heard a thing from it and now states as closed on 14th April waste off money possible scam product beware

The kit was so easy to use and they emailed receipt of the sample and the results as well as sending them. Easy to understand the results and option of a photograph although at an additional cost. Ideal for understanding your cross breed dog for training purposes. Only negative is you have to buy a stamp to return the swabs to the lab but thats only a single stamp required.

I sent a sample off because I wasn't sure that my puppy was the breed i was told she was. The form you fill in ask what breed you believe they are and I wrote unknown. I wasn't asked for any photos and I received the results today. I was surprised to see the outcome but upon googling the breeds specified I can totally see that this is what my pup is.Well done guys, you nailed it.

This was an interesting exercise and certainly gave us insight into some of the behavioural traits our 'mutt' exhibits. But it raised as many questions as it answered- mainly because I felt I wanted to know a heckuva lot more about canine dna. Ours turned out to be mostly Border Terrier with a large chunk of Pyrenees Mountain Dog and a dash of Beagle- but the story cannot be that simple- most breeds are themselves mixtures, and offshoots from some- say Catalan Sheepdog from Pyrenees Mountain Dog mixed with (?) - would carry mixed DNA wouldn't they? Anyway- I would recommend it if you are baffled about your dog's origins as we were, but hope it's not used too much by breeders anxious to make dosh out of a used and abused species!

Meet our darling Huxley, we love him. He was purchased as a second-generation Cockapoo. Although he looks as though he has a little King Charles Spaniel in him!. So we decided to get him tested and purchased a text from DNA testing. it was supposed to be a 2-week turnaround time. After nearly 5 weeks the test came back Huxley is 100% Toy poodle....Really? Huxley weighs 11 kg and stands about 14 inches tall. Which makes the test result complete rubbish!!I have emailed them and said what I thought, but needless to say, no answer. I suspect some poor breeder is now being challenged about the integrity of their dog's breed when they are in fact a 100% Toy poodle! They won't be able to breed them without the certification and possibly will have their dog destroyed. Rest assured we love Huxley, he will not be going anywhere, but we need these guys to totally get their act together, and send us and the other poor party involved the right results.

The kit was received quickly. This product is fantastic, if you want to find out about your dogs genetic composition, this is a definite must! Had the results in under 2 weeks, emailed to me. Great certificate with dogs photo on.....couldn't be more pleased :-)

I had this test done as I understood is is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross but it came as a Border Collie but everybody I speak to including my Vets said it does not look anything like a Border Collie including its colour which is not similar to any Border anyone has ever seen so still not sure!!

Still waiting for results.

The swabs arrived and we took the samples from our dog and sent them back but still have not got the result.

Absolutely worth it. I have bought before, and will buy again from DND My Dog.

I cannot say enough good things about DNA My Dog. This has been the 2nd dog that I have tested, and I will continue to be a customer of theirs for life.My first experience with them was to test my beloved childhood dog, who did not have long left. This was in 2017. Their customer support is fantastic; Quick, kind, and responsive. They walked us through a way to collect a sample from our dog without the kit, as she did not have the time to wait on a kit to arrive. Although we were not even a customer of DNA My Dog at this point, they treated us fantastically and we purchased shortly after. We got the sample from our dog the day before she passed away, and DNA My Dog provided us her test results a few weeks later. What a beautiful gift it is to finally know what breed mix your dog is, after 14 years of loving her.This most recent purchase was to test our two-year old mixed breed simply out of curiosity. Just as with the first time, their customer support is quick and very pleasant to deal with. This test shipped quickly (despite current COVID mail delays), the instructions were very clear, and the time it took between arriving at the lab and being tested was minimal. The online interface for registration is basic, which is perfectly fine for this application.The test itself is one of the lowest-cost on the market. However, it covers an extensive list of breeds. And honestly, this is all just done out of curiosity... they are dogs, so why spend double or triple the price? DNA My Dog does everything you could possibly want for a very reasonable price. And as an added bonus, DNA My Dog is a Canadian company!If you are looking for a DNA test for your dog, I wholeheartedly recommend you go with DNA My Dog.

Pour commencer, l'application n'est pas pratique. Vous entrez toutes les références mais il n'y a pas moyen de les valider.J'ai envoyé le test et j'ai attendu plus de 2 mois pour avoir le résultat.Les résultats sont étonnants mais certaines caractéristiques physiques se retrouvent en lui, tout comme les caractères BA très sensible tout comme mon chien.Il faudrait faire un autre test ADN d'une autre marque pour être sûr.Les résultats arrivent par mail en anglais. Il y a 1 tableau des 3 races trouvées et 1 certificat plutôt sympa.À noter que l'enveloppe est arrivée ouverte mais complète (pas intéressant pour le voleur) et que j'ai modifié mon commentaire qui était à la base négatif car je n'avais pas de réponse.

Easy to use and the company was very much on top of every step. From the time I ordered the kit to the time I received the results was just under a month. Once they received my dog's swab, it took about 10 days for them to email me the results. I didn't send a picture with the test as I didn't want them to see her - I just wanted to know what she is. We've had our dog for seven years, but she is nine years old. We finally decided to have her tested as we were curious. She is a German Shepherd, but we always thought she was a mix. Nope. She's 100% German Shepherd. Our curiosity has been solved. We already know our nine month old dog is 100% German Shepherd, so we won't be doing a DNA test on her. But, I would not hesitate to use this company again. Great product, great communication, and great company.
