The first one I bought was totally useless and I ended up returning it after several days of trying to get it to work. After a lot more research and reading reviews I bought the Streetwise SWTRACK1 and it worked without problem (although the GiffGaff SIM didn't work - whereas a basic Vodafone SIM did). Even better I have wired it to my motorbike which is stored in a garage with a corrugated roof (lots of metal) so I was even more surprised when it got a signal and functions perfectly. Happy days.

Had this for just over 2 months now and my advice is, stay well away from this piece of junk.The battery life is beyond shocking, 3 days at absolute best. Unless you really want the expense of getting it hard wired in and that sort of defeats the object of it as a car thief would know where it was and rip it out.The recommended sim provider is another con, they recommend 1p mobile because any text the unit sends is only 1p but what isn’t made clear is that if you don’t (and you won’t) use a minimum of £10 a month then you simply lose any balance left up to the remaining £10.In short it’s garbage and a total con, mine has been switched off and thrown in a draw.It gets 1 star for the simple reason I can’t give Zero or what would be more accurate a minus rating.

To the people that found it easy to set up, I take my hat off to you. The written instructions show the commands for you to input with an underscore between the words, ( _ ), After an hour or so of head scratching and trying all sorts of word/upper/lower case combinations and looking at the utube tutorials, all in vain. I tried a space instead of an underscore between the commands, Bingo!! That was it. A few of my valuable free time hours wasted.

Was incredibly easy to setup. I had a small problem, rang their customer service and they resolved the problem immediately.The tracker itself is accurate, has a long battery life (is not yet hard wired to vehicle) and easy to use.Well worth the money!

So far so good. Basic setup was easy enough, need to follow instructions to the letter. More detailed app setup, gave up, will try again when I have the time. Requires a number of of those impossible to find detail from your PAYG provider. Compact allowed for many options for hiding in the vehicle. More than accurate enough.

Bought this after looking at quite a few reviews. It has a SIM already installed which I checked had enough credit to get the product going. Following the instructions I then tried to communicate (via the SIM) with the tracker. I could not get this to work, so phoned up support only to receive a message saying there was nobody there and to email and they would get back to me after THREE DAYS! Tried phoning again the next working day- this time the phone said leave a message after the tone and then the voicemail was full so you couldn’t leave a message! Tried again the next day and actually got through to someone. They said there must be a problem with the SIM and that they would get straight onto the SIM provider and that they would copy me into the emails. Well guess what. I waited a day and there were no emails or support! I then sent the product back and two weeks later I’m still waiting for a refund. Thank goodness it was tracked. Finally they have acknowledged receipt (after I sent them tracking proof) and they say they have issued a refund. This is possibly the worst customer service I have experienced for quite some time. Buyer beware!!!
