5.0 out of 5 stars Very good option for rainy cold weathers while keeping light!
I took some time to write this review since I was trying it out in very different climates!Ok, so here I go:I had some doubts as if getting this NF Evolve II versus the Evolution II, as both are Triclimate, the only main difference is that the Evolution has underarm zippers used in Spring. But overall I went for this one due to the price difference, almost £40 at the time I purchased it!Since I didn't try on any NF before purchasing online, I went to NF's website and checked out their Fit Size, which I can particularly say, was the best decision ever, hence in some Jackets I wear Medium and other feel that Large is a better fit.So, in NF's website you find the "Find my Size" option, there you input your Height, Weight and Age (which claims to have some difference in proportions) and Large was my best fit (for comparison purposes, I'll give you mine: Height 170 CM, Weight 84 Kgs and 34 years old and a flatter belly (this is asked on the website). When I received it, my first impression was that it was too big, and thought of sending it back, but instead I thought of giving it a test run for a few days.I agree that indeed is a bit loose, but just enough to fit a jumper or sweater underneath my jacket without feeling tight on the hips, which I think is very important when walking around and cycling on a very wet and windy day.On a warmer winter day I just wear the jacket and it does feels loose but comfy as well.So overall I feel very good with it although due to the jacket type, Large may be a bit out of proportions (But would not change it to Medium anyway). Also, I can say that this jacket is warm enough to wear solo with a t-shirt underneath if warmer than 6 degrees Celsius, when colder, you should wear something else underneath like a sweater or jumper (Since I have the Large, I can wear a hoodie and still zip my jacket all the way to the neck). This Jacket is also very good on a rainy day. I use it to cycle during rainy days, so I the hoodie is very adjustable with it's cords, tight enough to keep the wind from blowing it back (as it happens to other jackets), when tight it feels like a hat, and it covers my glasses from some of the rain drops, which is great :). The only thing I find not so good is when you fold it on the neck, (you can hide it or conceal it when not needed) I think that a zipper should have been better, but is no biggie anyway.Furthermore, it's material apart from waterproof, it dries pretty fast, ready for the next day.- The sleeves are a good fit, and you can tight them at your taste, although if you have a big watch, then you'll have some issues when taking the jacket off and on again, since the inner jacket will pull-out more than it should (I guess this may be normal on these triclimates). The inner jacket I find it very fit and comfortable, but the sleeves might get cold when wearing it at first, but I guess this has some advantages on a warmer day.The jacket has a couple of front pockets which are handy to warm your hands on a cold day, not that much if you don't wear gloves but good enough to keep them a bit warmer than on your pant pockets. The adjustable string, I honestly haven't used it that much, it claims to help on a very windy day but I have tried to tight it and don't feel any difference. To recap, this jacket is very good for weathers like 4 degrees and more with a mere jumper underneath, below 2 degrees you'll still be cold, just depends of a warmer sweater or 2 if you want to keep warm enough.
4.0 out of 5 stars Quality as you’d expect from North Face
Quality waterproof jacket and inner removable fleece as you would expect from North Face. More than 2 pockets would have been good though
3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as it looks
Thought it would have been better for the price. I Get stuck in the fleece lining & not very comfortable to wear. A bit disappointed with it wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very warm indeed
Love the coat, very warm and dry.Could possibly gone a size smaller hover this means I can layer up and take the jacket off where it’s less cold!
5.0 out of 5 stars It's like wearing a house...warm, watertight and windproof
High quality and it shows. Everything about this coat seems well made and designed. It's very warm without being too thick. Being able to wear the liner separately is a bonus. The Dryvent technology is so much better than the old Gore Tex style coats. This coat can be machine washed and tumble dryer without any retreatment needed to restore the waterproof coating.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great warmth to size ratio
Really great product, for its size and weight it provides very good warmth. The product feels well made, for example the zips work nicely. My minor gripe is that I would have liked a few more attachments between the fleece and the outer as sometimes I both the combined jacket on and the fleece is rolled up and not in place. Also bit niche but I don't really like having a dark jacket with no reflectors for visibility.Still totally 5 star to me.
1.0 out of 5 stars North Face Evolve 11 jacket.
Was delighted when this jacket arrived after waiting 2 weeks from order. The jacket was stunning and couldn't wait to try it on.After trying it on it was very slightly on the large size. That wasn't a big issue for me as it didn't look out of place or large on my frame. Then i stood in a full length mirror, wearing the new jacket along with a smile.Suddenly, the jacket is black, I could see a very thin white mark. After closer inspection i could see there was a cut on the black material.I removed jacket immediately for an closer inspection. How and why i don't know.It looks like a razor, scalpel or sharp object had cut jacket.I then examined the packaging, there was a longer cut on the plastic packaging.Immediately i went to Bolo shopping app, and requested a refund. In fairness, Bolo's refund policy is excellent and simple to navigate. After being sent a QR code to drop off at a local post office i returned to the Bolo app. There i ordered the exact same jacket, a size smaller, which now i do regret. I should have stayed with the original size.I also ordered a second North Face jacket, which arrived earlier today, its a lovely jacket. I wish i ordered a size up but its fits tidy.Hopefully before Christmas the original jacket should arrive. In my opinion the jacket i am waiting for is the smarter jacket of the two. There's not much in it.I would rate the one i am waiting for a 9, the one in possession 8.5.So a cut in the jacket and return, made me purchase a second NF jacket. I have no regrets.

Jack Wolfskin Herren 3-in-1 Jacke Prisma Jacket vs. THE NORTH FACE Herren 3-in-1-Shelljacke Evolve II Triclimate
