About this item:
DW40 has a variety of uses industrially. As a rust inhibitor it is superb and, after one application, rusting and scaling can be removed with a wire brush. Where there is particularly heavy or stubborn rusting,a second application may be necessary to help remove the corrosion and leave the metal surface fully protected with a micro-thin oily film. After use the product may be removed using a solvent, hot detergent wash or by wiping. An oil based product which also contains solvent that allows rapid penetration to inaccessible areas. The solvent evaporates leaving an oily film which lubricates the components enabling the immovable parts to be manipulated. Use as a penetrating and release agent when heavy duty threaded fastenings become seized either due to the effects of corrosion or heat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheaper version of WD40

5.0 out of 5 stars Same as WD-40
Good quality, works and smells just like WD-40. In fact I found it a little better at doing the job. I use on everything even polishes up plastic on Hoover's etc
4.0 out of 5 stars Half the price of the "other" brand
Thought I'd give this product a go instead of the more well known brand. Its not bad, the only thing I'd say is it does have the solvent ability that the more well know brand has, but as a more affordable version its more than adaquate. I would suggest is a mix of Diesel/Turps/Paraffin, if they could pin down the solvent thats in the well known brand it would be 5*. Just dropped the one star due to its ability or lack of ability to dissolve thicker oils when sprayed on them, it does but needs just a little more working. I'll return to this review after a few months use and update it once I've used it a bit more.UPDATE : Having used this over a few weekends now I would say in some instances its better than the "leading brand" as its does seem more oily, so is better at getting rusted bolts undone, I still cant quite bring myself to give it 5* as the lack of solvent does show when you are trying to use it for cleaning grease/oil off things as well, if I could give it 4.5 Stars I would. For the money I'd say its definately better than "the other brand"
5.0 out of 5 stars sol oil
good soluble oil base for coolant cutting fluid systems - works fine and very economical.
5.0 out of 5 stars Same stuff but cheaper...
Much cheaper than WD40 and just as good. Competitive price and quick delivery.
5.0 out of 5 stars Like the brand leader but cheaper.
Bulk penetrative oil just like the well know brand leader. If you have the trigger bottle from the brand name tip this stuff in and you would never know the difference.
1.0 out of 5 stars Not good stuff to work with
It stinks exactly like standard diesel, it looks exactly like standard diesel and it performs exactly like standard diesel. I don’t think there is any difference between a standard diesel and this stuff.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value
Excellent value for money and equal to WD 40.
