I always found it fiddly because you have to hold two probes and a battery as well which would often spin around because they are often round. I have molegrips but being metal I'd have to stuff some cardboard in between the jaws to insulate them. This was cheap and seemed perfect for the job with it's plastic jaws.It clamps batteries well but the pivot point sticks out further then the rest of the body so it has a tendency to spin. But with a quick bodge I added to countersunk wood screws in some convenient holes in the jaws (see picture). Adjusted them to the right length and stuck on some bluetack to the 3 contact points. Now they lie flat and don't shift about.Now I have a handy battery/fuse holder. I may upgrade the bluetack to silicon if I can be bothered.

This clamp might be small, but it grips super tightly. The price was under £3.00, definitely recommended.

Purchased these to help wrap up my garden furniture for the winter. Certainly helped do the job although you certainly do need a strong grip to use them

perfect in fact, goes to about 28mm without an issue, you could stretch it to 30mm but maybe it will loose strength? i'm not sure, but in any case, you can tell they are quality and a nice size, perfect for what I needed it for. of course i puchased this as an Bolo add-on item, it has gone more expensive now..
