This was a great purchase easy to fold away and light enough for my wife to lift it into the car boot. It was a good price and very sturdy , light weight to push around. Would buy again if needed. 5 stars.

I recently bought this for my elderly mother in law who was having some mobility issues due to a painful knee. We needed something that would be light, collapsible and easy to use.This chair ticked all the boxes on paper and when it arrived I was pleased to find that it was as advertised. The chair arrives collapsed and assembled apart from the footrests.The frame is lightweight aluminium and without the footrests and wheels attached is light enough for my mother in law to lift. The wheels detach easily with the press of a button on the wheels hub and the footrests are similarly easy to attach. The seat back is folded down as it would be for stowing in your boot and once the chair is opened for use the backrest then simply lifts into position and locks in place. The chair is also very comfortable and the seat is a generous width.What I really like about this chair is that all of the catches used for securing the wheels, footrests and seat back are simple and solid latching mechanisms that do not require any physical effort to make safe. I have seen friction screws and turn handles that rely on manual strength for this type of latch which would render a chair like this useless to the elderly or infirm.The handles each have an independent wheel brake for anyone who is pushing the chair to use and they are effective. The only issue I have with the chair is the braking system. The person pushing the chair has a nice bicycle type brake lever and the user only has a short handle mounted on the same friction brake for their use. The brakes are designed to be able to be locked by using this handle but it does require a fair amount of effort to push these brakes into the locked position. My mother in law struggled with this and if the handle length had been increased by only a few centimetres this would have made it much easier for her.On the whole this chair is a very good purchase when supplied with the foam cushion and the nylon fabric elements are designed to be easy to clean. There is a seat belt built in should you need to use that and the seat back has a handy built in pouch also.To take the wheels and footrests off, fold the seat back, collapse the chair and stow everything in your boot takes only a few seconds. I can also comment on the ease it takes to push someone around in this chair as I personally found it lighter than some we have used.I would recommend this chair to anyone who has occasional mobility issues and would like to be able to take it with them for shopping trips or holidays.

Just got this and still getting used to it but it is superb and everything is easy and is very good for an attendant if required Great value for money and I would highly recommend for anyone looking to buy a wheelchair

Nice chair, my husband is now in a care home but has had an outing as he says it was good. Next time after a bit longer I will give it a higher mark when we know for sure.

Ok so choosing a wheelchair was tricky. We needed one for my wife after her op. Being a young (ok middle aged!) woman with perfectly good upper body strength she wanted one that she could move along herself aka self-propelling. It also needed to be lightweight (same reason) and for taking it out in the the car.Well l can honestly say that we are so pleased we chose this one! It does all these things! Naturally the wife needs help to get up and down curbs, it can't do that without someone tilting it using one of the bits at the back. But then that's the case with all self propelled isn't it?My wife and l love to visit car boot sales and she hasn't been able to go on walks for years - we can do both with this chair because it copes just fine on uneven ground l am pleased to say! Obviously the ride can get a little bumpy but we also use a pressure relief wheelchair cushion on the seat so that helps with that (thoroughly recommend you invest in one of these too). I should say that we are very careful not to drive into any deep ruts on the car boot field as we don't want to snap a front wheel or anything. And l don't know how this chair would manage on soft or soggy ground...but probably all wheelchairs would have an issue with that unless they were posh all terrain ones or three wheelers or something. Anyway.The only issue we have with this otherwise great chair is we can't adjust the height of the footrests. The fixings are too tight to loosen. Other than that we have been very pleased with it indeed!

After suffering with sciatica I was unable to walk properly and needed a wheelchair to take on holiday. We were stopping in a small village resort in Greece which had rough paths, where the side roads were concrete and didn't see tarmac for 2 weeks. This wheelchair stood up to these surfaces and creaked a bit when going over lumps in the surfaces but it has served me well over this last fortnight. It was money well spent! The light frame which easily folded was carried upstairs by my husband each time we returned from going out, and I chose to sit in it on our balcony as it was more comfortable than the chairs on the balcony which were uncomfortably narrow for my hips. It more than lived up to my expectations.
