Upon his arrival home from work, my son immediately spent the evening sprawled out across the bed and also put it through a vigorous sturdiness, bounce and rolling test of his own, far more entertaining to watch than any tv show😂.The bed took the punishment, I then left it inflated overnight to see what I came down to this morning. Well, surprise surprise.... it’s still inflated! Yes, it’s lost a little air, but this is to be expected with the stretch of any new fabric, that said, had you been sleeping on it, you wouldn’t have noticed it as it’s still very much sturdy enough to support a good comfortable sleep. I got on and tried it. Any air lost is minimal. When picking it up there’s no bending or floppiness and is stood firmly on its side as I write this. So for me and my son, this paragraph is a major✅✅That all said, there is one little niggle, because there’s no non return valve to stop the air from coming out upon inflation I recommend that you keep the pump running while at the same time pushing in on the ‘sticky up’ valve, then quickly releasing the pump and firmly pushing in the black plug before too much air escapes. It’s as advertised, but ‘is’ a niggle🤨.(My last model had a non return valve to stop the need for ‘lightening reflexes’ but unf. they no longer make that model.)Having considered this, I would’ve deducted a star as it’s quite difficult performing the aforementioned manoeuvre while in a field and on your own as having something firm to push the bed against while performing the ‘close’ manoeuvre is a little tricky.However, I feel it’d be unfair to deduct a star because of this as it’s not advertised as having a non return valve, and the instructions do say to ‘push in with the pump nozzle’, but because of the air that is leaking while doing this, KEEP THE PUMP RUNNING!🚨That said, surely it wouldn’t be too difficult to add a non return valve to this bed for the sake of a few extra pennies? Something for the company to deliberate upon...🧐On the whole though, I’d purchase another of these as I’m very happy with the quality of the overall comfort and manufacture of the bed.✅👍🏻

It's hard to gauge how big this is from the description, but I'll say that although it's pretty narrow, there's plenty enough space on it for a single adult to sleep on.The very large inflation hole is a bit non-standard. I bought a push-pull pump with three attachments and the only thing that worked was to remove ALL the attachments and stick the pump onto the matress using the hose connector, making inflation a bit tricky.So, don't expect a standard inflator to work, you'll have to get a Coleman one, or one that's compatible. This smaller matress doesn't take a huge amount of puff to inflate, but it'll leave you dizzy and lightheaded, so I wouldn't try it. Get an inflator!When inflated, the matress is pretty thick (about 5 to 6"), so you're well insulated from the ground. We left it inflated for two days and it didn't deflate at all. The top is nice and soft, so you can just lie on it directly, without an undersheet if you need to, although a sleeping bag is recommended.Can be used in a pinch for a house guest with nowhere to sleep... The matress comes with a nice little carry bag that it rolls neatly back into. I've stashed it under the bed, where it sits neatly. It's pretty compact when it's deflated, actually, about the size and weight of a large bottle of pepsi.Given the price, it was excellent value for money. Would recommend.

I whittled down all the flocked surface single airbeds to three and expected the Coleman Comfort to be the best. It's a very generous size (and this isn't the maxi option, just the standard single), nice and deep and inflates easily with a standard footpump except that the valvle is a little too large for the largest nozzles that come with the pumps so I had to hold it in place at floor level whilst pumping (would be easier with two people or a battery pump, I suspect!). Very plush and comfortable but tips up off of the floor if you move however much or little air is used and makes a crackly noise like screwed up paper when you move your head. I expect that eases with use. At 2.25kg and much wider than me, I decided upon the Vango single flocked airbed instead because it's only 1.35kg and I didn't need the extra width. The Vango is more comfortable and silent and doesn't lift off of the ground either, but I still think the Coleman Comfort is very good, particularly for larger/heavier people.I docked a star because I had to order two of these to get one with properly welded seams (the first one couldn't be inflated because they weren't sealed). Probably just a dodgy batch as the second one was great. I couldn't help noticing though (through the open seams on the first airbed) that despite what the manufacturer's claims state, there is no internal coil/chamber structure whatsoever to this design; the 'quilted' effect hollows are just surface indentations. It's just one big air chamber inside as I suspect the airbeds of all other brands are too!
