Received on time. Huge bottle. Product in the bottle had an unusual smell and gave me a bad stomach. Could have been off or maybe it's just not for me. Reverting to my usual brand. You win some you lose some.

I blend it up in smoothies and make oat flour protein pancakes daily. It takes a little playing around with for baking/cooking because it dries out, but there are plenty of ways to combat that with making baked goods. If you’re looking for something to just mix with water and drink on the go, you probably won’t love this since it is only rice and no other flavoring or gums or anything.

Best purchase nutrition, the 2 scoop method works and feels great. I only regret holding out on the purchase. Note : there is a tiny bit of foam, probably because of the low value of money currently and has to be stirred if you like enjoying your drink.

Incomplete Protein But You Can Work Around It

TLDR: If you have intolerance or can't have an animal protein you can make this work but this isn't going to win any taste tests.I lift weights 4x a week and am focused on macros. Unfortunately I can't use whey protein so the search began for something that could meet my needs. Enter Naked Rice.This is a very clean product delivering everything is says it does. Rice protein isn't complete meaning you are lacking some amino acids. In this case it's lysine. As a scientist I dove into the research. You could of course supplement but a simpler solution is to use more Rice protein. In this case 48g will get you everything you need.I find the product dissolved well in water but would suggest adding it to water vs the other way around to prevent it from getting in the air. The texture won't appeal to everyone as with more product its a tad gritty. The taste is akin to cardboard but I'm eating with purpose not for pleasure and I'm not masking the taste with other items.Overall a great product but if you want a good taste with no grittiness it might not be for you.

Switched from whey protein and ill never buy whey protein again!

I bought this because I heard of all the downsides of whey protein - indigestion problems, bloating, inflammation and weight gain. In fact after my findings about whey I did even more research as I became obsessed with optimizing every part of my workout routine to maximize gains and overnight became vegan! I've gained a lot of muscle and lost a lot of weight! Something that I've always thought of as an oxymoron, I always thought you needed animal protein to grow big but once again a little research will prove that wrong, most of our information is actually passed down from food companies so the thought that without "lean" meats I couldn't gain muscle and stay lean comes from the most successful marketing campaigns in the world. I have since woken up, and base my workout and health routines off of the most ground breaking science available - for anyone interested in vegan bodybuilding or gym gains you should check out the information now available - Harvard is actually leading the charge in promoting a plant-based lifestyle for overall health and they consistently post information about scientific findings pertaining to health and our culture, they're one of the only independent researchers looking into vegan lifestyle science, and they are one of the only organizations not influenced by "big food" lobbying (money paid - usually to government officials - to push certain business or industry agendas) and have openly condemned the information that is widely taught to the public and even our doctors about nutrition.Only slight negative for me was the texture and flavor didn't compare to my Whey Protein flavored like vanilla ice cream - but the thought that the drink I prepare myself everyday, with the only intent of making progress toward my goals, needs to taste like vanilla ice cream is kind of in itself insane and should have been a red flag, but a fatty will always want cake. My goals are way more important to me than a little flavor in a drink - and I have taken that mindset to just about every aspect in my life and could not be more proud of where I am today because of it.So with the slight risk of sounding exaggerated - this protein in many ways has changed my life! Or at least sparked an interest in a lifestyle change and gave me a completely new perspective on how I should be doing things and why! Seriously, I cannot be more of an advocate for a plant-based lifestyle now and I highly encourage everyone thinking about it to try it! Do some research - you can't just stop eating meat and dairy and think everything is gonna be fine... you HAVE to eat and learn to love vegetables, rice and other natural grains, healthy nuts, and legumes (beans, lentils, peas, etc.) to be truly healthy and allow your body to grow the way it should.Quick P.S. - I ate meat for 25 years of my life, so I understand when people say meat and dairy is hard to give up, those things taste really good to me! But in the long run what is more important to me? I've spent years of my life at the gym working tirelessly towards my set goals, and the reality is -- deep down, those goals are much more important to me than pizza, or a cheese burger, or even what I once thought of as healthy lean meats like chicken or fish! My energy, confidence and overall health is much more important to me. Plus I've discovered dozens of foods that I love that I didn't know I love, there is a ton of flavor in vegan food, you just have to think outside the box you've been living in your whole life. Meat and dairy is not the only flavor - flavor comes from natural herbs and spices!! Learn to rethink why you eat the things you do and I promise you wont regret it!

Was By Far the Best Organic Brown Rice Protein Out There... until September 2023

This is by far the best organic brown rice protein out there. It's not powdery and flour-like at all like some inferior brands. It's more textured and nutty flavored like rice. It blends up great in the blender with just about anything. I mix two heaping scoops with acai, spirulina, cacao, flax seeds, chia seeds, banana, blueberries, and sometimes pineapple or other fruit to make a quart sized thick breakfast drink. No matter how I blend it the result is satisfying and delicious! The only downfall is that it's quite expensive... but..... you get what you pay for.September 2024 Update: The product isn't the same as it used to be. On my last two orders I received slightly different jars that were narrower and taller with the product inside changed. Now, it could best be described as finely ground white flour. It used to be brown in color, relatively solid, and have a wonderful nutty texture. Looking at the pictures other reviewers posted you can see how it used to be and the difference is stark bow. Now it's like overly processed white flour. It doesn't have that wonderful color or nutty taste or solid texture anymore. It's so processed and fine that it dusted up all over the kitchen when I tried to get a scoop out to put in the blender. It was even on the curtains! Now it tastes like nothing. It used to be nice and thick and flavorful. It's just not the same anymore. I liked the old product. Now, it blends watery and has no flavor. Total bummer!I reached out to Naked to share my experience with the product change to see if they were aware and might be working on a fix and their response seemed pretty rude. I suspect they could either care less or were getting lots of similar comments. They did nothing to address my concerns. It's clear they are over processing the rice now and it's ruined the product this once was.I have since found another organic brown rice protein powder of equal flavorless and dusty quality for much less money. I paid more before because it was a better product and wasn't like the other over processed products out there. I'd come back to Naked and be willing to pay the higher price if they fix this product issue and produce the good product it used to be. Until then... I will miss it very much.
