We've had our Delonghi bean to cup machine for a few years. I've always descaled it every few months when it comes up on the display. And the brewing group unit is rinsed off every few weeks too. But the coffee hasn't tasted as good as shop bought coffee for a long time... I wish I'd have known it needs a cleaner running through it as well as a descaler! There's nothing in the manual about this, but it has made such a difference.When the machine is on, drop a tablet into the coffee grounds opening at the top. There's a small flap by the bean holder. It has a chute underneath that runs directly to the brewing group. Then run a rinse from the menu. Once the rinse is done there will still be some of the cleaning fluid in the tubes so you can let it sit for a while, then run another normal rinse to flush it out. I did this all day yesterday and must have gotten through about 20 tablets before the liquid came out clean and clear. There was so much gunk and brown water coming out, I dread to think we've been drinking our coffee with all that stuck inside the machine for so long! When you're done cleaning, remove and rinse out the grounds tray and the brewing group to get rid of any leftover bits of the tablets. There's also a plunger inside the machine that goes into the brewing group to compact the grounds. Looking inside the side door, it's top left on our machine. Give that a wipe with a wet kitchen towel too.I'm pleased to say I'm now writing this with a nice hot cup of fresh coffee that tastes as good as when the machine was new. Pretty much as good as what you get for £2-3 a cup.I'll be popping one of these tables in every week or so from now on. It works!

I use these tablets in my espresso machine because the machine maker branded tablets are a rip-off. Judging by the brownish water which comes out I suppose they are working as they should but it is impossible to tell without taking the machine apart and checking, which I am not going to do. By the way, they taste lovely!

We all like a clean machine. Mine has a "Clean" cycle of 6 minutes which I use every 4 weeks. Cleans the spray mesh and thegubbins upstream of the portafilter. Flush it out and there's no after smell of chlorine or chemicals. Recommended.

I got a Breville to fancy up my coffee routine since I can't justify spending $8 at Starbucks every day. I love my machine, and when the maintenance reminder came on, I looked into cleaning tablets.I was shocked at how expensive the branded ones are. My neighbor recommended these and said they work just as well for a fraction of the price.I’ve been using them for the past few years and they’ve worked like a charm. 5 out of 5 from me.

Fanno egregiamente il loro lavoro pur costando un quarto delle pastiglie originali. Le utilizzo per una macchina automatica Krups, utilizzando le originali che costano un occhio , ho notato che rimanevano incastrate nello scivolo che dovrebbe condurle nel corpo macchina, ho dovuto smontate lo sportello da con la fessura in cui andavano inserite. Con queste devo toglierlo comunque ma almeno costano un quarto delle originali e funzionano perfettamente.
