I bought this for using as part of a cake-making business. I only needed a tiny amount but couldn't find a smaller container in stock, so what to do with the excess? I have discovered that this makes a great skating rink in the kitchen (as long as the floor is tiled), but you will have to spend money on ice skates which are also available on Bolo. My partner and I are now like Torville and Dean and thinking of entering the 2022 Commonwealth games with our pirouettes and other useful tricks. I suppose that you could also use this as a lubricant for anything from squeaky door hinges, to bedroom use, but have yet to try this as I am having too much fun learning to ice skate. If you are a hit-man, you could probably smear this on your victim's car brakes as an alternative to cutting the lines but, like I say, we are enjoying it's ice-rink like properties at the moment.

Crisco Shortening makes the best pastry and is far superior to the equivalents in our supermarkets. I have waited over 4 decades for this to become readily available in the UK. Bolo has been splendidly wise to sell it. Cakes, biscuits, cookies, piecrusts - wherever shortening is needed Crisco is the only one to use. Only 2/3 cup is needed for a generous double pie crust so it is also economical. It was speedily despatched. Thank you Bolo!

KEIN Gleitgel... Seit über 100 Jahren das perfekte Gusseisen-Einbrenn-Mittel
Ich weiss ja nicht warum das gute Crisco als Gleitmittel verkauft wird... aber ok. Crisco ist die absolute Nummer 1 zum einbrennen und pflegen Gusseisener Pfannen. Und das in den USA seit über 100 Jahren. Es eignet sich auch zum Backen und zum frittieren. Ich nutze es ausschliesslich zur Pflege meiner Pfannen und dafür ist es absolut perfekt. Das Paket kam schnell und gut verpackt an. Gewohnte und gute Qualität. Ich bin wunschlos glücklich und froh nun auch hier in Germany Crisco zu bekommen. Übrigens auch das beste für Fried Chicken.
Segreto ingrediente per pâte brisée impasto
Essenziale per fare pâte brisée impasto usato in quiche e torte (cioè, torta di mela) che risulta in un impasto che si stende facilmente (un sogno), e quando cotto e metà strade fra Pasta Frolla e Pasta Foglia. Il Pâte Brisée risulta friabile con bollicine, e perfetto! Con solo burro, viene pesante e grasso/unto. Ingredienti che uso io per fare Pâte Brisée, fato 100 volte da me per lo meno:3,5 coppe (800 ml volume) farina Tipo 00, proteina 10% a 13%285 g burro, senza sale, tagliato a cubetti, freddo4 Cucchiai Crisco Shortening (1 cucchiao = 15 ml volume), tagliato a cubetti, freddo2/3 cucchiani sale (1 cucchiano = 5 ml volume)1/8 cucchiano zucchero, un pizzico o due2/3 coppa acqua con ghiaccio (160 ml volume), +/-, dipende l'umidata (impasto umido, piu farina...asciutto, piu acqua)Se fate impasti la rimanenza sapete fare.Crisco e il segreto che da le bollicine/ friabile Pâte Brisée.
