These loppers are geared rather than ratcheted which enables to cut through sizeable branches including green ones as if you are cutting through butter! I wouldn't have believed how good they were until I used them for myself. It was a friend who recommended them and I can tell you they have revolutionised my gardening! They are also extremely light which means no aching arms after using them. I simply will not be without them now and am quite possessive of them!!

These loppers have only just arrived - in true Bolo style in a box eight times bigger than necessary with paper packing ten yards long.They are a replacement for my 22 year old and now blunt Wilkinson Sword loppers, which have served me well. They are bigger and sturdier than the old ones and the blade is very sharp. I will enjoy using these and think they represent good value for money.

Light, simple, strong. Despite my best efforts I cannot break these! The handles maybe plastic but do not be fooled, this is proper well made indestructible plastic the likes of which you will never have seen before. Bought some as a present for my in laws they are that good. The orange part of the handles pop out occasionally but even that is so rare that I haven't bothered to glue them. Blade is sharp and takes all kinds of abuse. Dropped from tree tops, thrown across lawns, strong simple reliable and trustworthy. Worth every penny.

These loppers are good, they are surprisingly light but feel very robust and powerful. All loppers lack a bit of manoeuvrability but in general they are excellent. The are a bit expensive, hence not five stars, but still a good option which won't disappoint.

The loppers are very light and the power gear system make them very powerful for the length of handle. The shorter handles mean you can get up close to where you're cutting. I used these first for cutting back a pyracantha which would have been a painful process with secateurs and a bow saw. I've also used them cutting back branches of fir trees. They slice easily through branches of 4cm thickness and save a lot of time over a bow saw. I wouldn't be without them now and highly recommend them. I like the look and feel of Fiskars products and now tend to choose them over other brands.

These loppers are brilliant, especially if your hands are not as strong as you'd wish. The gearing makes cutting so much easier and the fact that they are lighter than average means your hands don't tire so quickly. The blades are sharp and they bolt on so can be replaced in the future, if necessary. I borrowed my neighbours pair one day so I knew I was on to a winner when I bought my own.

This was purchased to replace my old Wilkinson Sword pruners. The blade is sharp and cuts well. The handles feel sturdy. I have done a lot of heavy pruning and it works very well. The only drawback is that you need to open it very wide to hook the cutting head around a stem, and if the stem is in an awkward place, it is difficult to open the pruner enough. However, I cope with this by moving aside other branches. All in all, I can really recommend this product.
