Day and date,its hackable for accurate time setting.the crown isnt too awkward to get to and screws down without crossing the threads,interesting how its a leftie too so doesn't dig into the wrist.i fitted my own nylon strap as i find the rubber ones bulky and not comfortable.(Ive since bought a steel bracelet with the divers double locking clasp and fitted that, i bought it from Bolo)I collected eco drive watches but have since started to collect automatics also,its convenient how they dont need to be in the sun to recharge, and its still accurate.The watch is slightly smaller than some of the bigger divers so is comfortable and looks stylish without being over stating.Its a tough rugged watch that can be used for outdoor persuits which it is designed for while also keeping its looks that can still be worn on a special occasion or something formal.10/10 treat yourself you wont regret it.

I received this watch probably 6 weeks ago and haven't taken it off!It was supplied in a round presentation case inside a box. The watch is very attractive looking the bezel and case are nice and shiny, the strap is a black sporty rubber one with a Citizen buckle.The dial is very legible, the markers are unmistakable, as are the also luminous hands. Love the bubble on the seconds hand! The day/date is white script on a black background, with Sunday in red. It also has dual Spanish days.The bezel makes a reassuring clicking and is uni directional. It can get easily knocked so if used for dives, be aware. Suspect serious diver's would have a dive computer anyway.The strap is really comfortable and looks really good on this watch. I was going to replace it with a NATO strap, but have been won over. I've got a Citizen Ecozilla watch which is much bigger and thicker than this, however it's strap is very uncomfortable.The accuracy seems pretty spot on, not had to adjust so far. Also like that the crown is screw down for added protection. The watch is rated to 200m which more than enough protection.Overall the watch looks fantastic on the wrist, smart or dressed down. The movement is not as smooth as a Rolex or Omega but it's probably more likely to be my "beater" rather than a prestigious make as it's fantastically wearable. I think it's great value and looks very smart, get plenty of comments about it.

I bought the citizens 200m divers watch because I had always wanted a diver style watch, even though I don't dive. I had looked at Omega Seamaster but felt I couldn't justify paying all that money for a watch.The choice then came down to the Citzen or the Seiko 007 divers watch. I was wanting a watch with a bracelet and will probably buy one for this at some point but for the moment I'm quite happy with the rubber strap that came with the watch. I chose the Citizen over the Seiko because the supplier that was selling the Seiko was temporarily out of stock when I was about to purchase and I'd also read reviews that the Seiko had a 'taller' profile than the Citizen and as I don't have massive wrists wanted something a little less in your face. The citizen is a perfect size for me and doesn't look like a kitchen clock sitting on my wrists but is still imposing enough to look good.I have only had it for about 10 days now and I'm very happy with it. It is a solid enough construction and feels really well built. The movement is nice to watch and second hand sweeps around the face with constant precision. The uni-directional bezel has a solid click action and isn't too loose. The luminous 'dots' on the hands and hour markings are big and bright enough when in a darkened room, so I'm assuming they will be even better for someone who is using it for diving. Watch was easy to set and screw down crown worked a treat.I am very happy with this watch and would recommend it anyone who wants to buy a quality divers watch without breaking the bank

I've been after this watch for quite some time to add to my growing collection of Citizen watches. I was finally able to obtain one and at a great price!I already own another Promaster Diver, which in many ways is the modern interpretation of this watch with an Eco Drive movement, 300m water resistance and a domed crystal.The NY0040 is an absolute classic with a great history having been used by the Italian Marina Militare and the forebear of all the Promaster divers that followed.I was surprised by the size of the piece, especially compared to my other diver. It wears much smaller than the dimensions might suggest. That's fine for me as I have skinny wrists but definitely significantly smaller than my other diver.The finishing on the case is fantastic with nice transitions between polished and brushed surfaces. The case shape is perfect too and does not dig in when wearing.The dial is a lovely Inky gloss black which almost has the effect that the indices are floating, very nice.The movement I have in mine is the Miyota 8004 so hacking and hand-winding, which I appreciate.All in all a very nice timepiece and a must for all watch nerds.Recommended.

nice watch quite thick looks and feels well made,, strap bit stiff not the best !ok for price paid will last i think but strap needs a rethink as not fully comfortable and watch moves around on wrist

Mine runs at +12 s/d, right in the middle of the calibre specifications.

This little gem of a watch is probably one of the best bang for buck watches you can find. It has a hand winding and hacking movement with the original style face.I am on the smaller side of wrists yet it wears amazing thanks to the lug to lug.The seller shipped the watch almost immediately and had it on my wrist in less than a weeks time . Overall excellent watch, excellent seller

Je suis très satisfait de cet achat. La montre est robuste, bien finie et d'une très bonne précision. En effet, je compte seulement un quinzaine de secondes de décalage en dix jours, par rapport à l'heure affichée officiellement sur le net. Exceptionnelle !Merci à la qualité Citizen.
