It is just what I wanted as I wish to change my diet into eating more mung beans, lentils etc. It is a very informative book.

Knew a lot of the contents already. However it shows a real insight into this age old tradition. Have practiced Ayurveda in the past and this book helped to revive that so I could practice it yet again.

Good introduction to Ayurveda for non-Indians

s. · 1 January 2023

Bought it as a gift for a foreign friend. It’s written from an outsider’s perspective covering just the tip of the iceberg called Ayurveda. The content is elementary and easy to understand. A good read for non-Indian nationals.

Great Book

Great book excellent information!

Great for a beginner!

K.C. · 9 July 2018

Im a complete beginner and found this book really easy to read and understand. I think it will be quite simple to implement into my lifestyle also. Great book!

Too high level

S.S. · 14 May 2020

It has a very very high level and mostly westernised version of Ayurveda. Some concepts are also missing. I would recommend other books like Vasant Lad’s which are easy to follow and have all the relevant info. It’s probably for someone curious about the subject but not interested in following it deeply.
