Suzy's vitality wheel is a wonderful framework for understanding the different ways we can take care of ourselves and each section gives loads of practical advice and examples of how to integrate soothing practices into everyday life. It's become a much loved resource! Highly recommend.

I am really enjoying this book! So much of it is resonating with me, and I really feel that it is helping me make better choices already. Self care is something I know I need to prioritise, and this book is helping me manage that in more holistic and achievable way. I've already started some daily yoga practice - just short sessions, but doing them is better than committing to a whole class at the gym, then not making it because of work etc. The thing that has stood out to me the most is the notion that we can't manage the stress (something I usually try and fail to do), but we can manage our energy reserves - that seems doable!I also wanted to comment on how beautifully designed and printed it is - it really makes a difference, and the layout, colours and images are lovely and engaging.

A comprehensive and helpful book, but the opening sections selling the approach seem unnecessary as anyone reading this will already be motivated to try the techniques. Particularly useful are the illustrated yoga poses as an active way of addressing stress and negativity. Well worth a read.

What an uplifting book! Suzy manages to make self-care seem so easy and so accessible - stretching our imagination and highlighting all the wonderful ways we can access not only our surroundings, but our own internal resources to nourish ourselves whatever the moment, whatever the day. I love her comprehensive Vitality Wheel framework which helps us categorise all those different nourishing opportunities and give us choice to consider what is going to be most effective in the given moment. There is no dictating or a one size fits all model - instead there is a strong recognition that what we personally need to nourish us will be different for everyone, and that in each different moment, what we personally need might be different. Suzy's passion and warmth jump off the pages and envelop you in a supportive and encouraging hug and I love the way she demonstrates the power of self-love and self-care through her own personal story. A must read.

A wonderful reference of self-care tips in a beautiful book which is a treat to open on every page, with fabulous images, layout and even space to jot your own notes. I particularly love the 'Self Care Vitality Wheel' which offers an easy yet incredibly powerful way of working through your needs at any given time wherever you are.Suzy's writing style is honest, warm and accessible. Added to this she not only has a background in yoga but is also a fully qualified psychologist offering a rare combination of rigorous insight in a very helpful, user friendly, pragmatic and enjoyable format. Suzy writes from life experience: she has lost loved ones, experienced moving to the other side of the world and knows the realities of juggling a career with young children and all of the demands that brings. A fabulous book!

What an inspirational little gem of a book. I’ve read many self-help / self-care books but what I really loved about this one is the bite size chunks that enable you to dip in and out. As a working mother of two, self-care is something I previously thought of as selfish. However, Suzy’s pragmatic and empathic approach has made me realise it’s just as important to take time out for myself - for the benefit of the whole family.A joy to read and a really friendly layout and luxurious tactile feel makes this book an absolute hit!

I love this book. I follow Suzy on Instagram and liked her posts and gentle approach. I rarely find time to read so have taken to listening to books on Audible. I bought the Kindle version when it was in the sale for 99p and paid £2.99 for the audio. It's read by the author which always lends something extra to it. I like the blend of personal story, sound advice and psychological understanding for why it's so hard to create self-care habits. It has information about nutrition and exercise too. It's my number one gift to friends now!
