The print quality of the book is excellent too with great photos and it absolutely belongs on display (which also serves as a helpful prompt to use it)!

5.0 out of 5 stars Accidental delight
I've been following Ayurveda for a few years now, helping to heal my stomach & digestion, but most of my favourite sources are Indian. Not that I have a problem with that, but as a white westerner, I can only follow it 50/50 as I'm neither living in India or Hindu. So I've been searching through a lot of the western approach to Ayurveda, with more meals/ingredients I would be used to on a daily basis and have been very disappointed. A lot of them being very New Age and the recipes are pretty disgusting(& seem to be 80% of sweet potato, coconut and seeds with some spices thrown in)I bought this book simply because I liked the sound of the recipes. When I opened it, I realised that this is not a recipe book, it's a lifestyle book, including pictures of yoga poses, rituals and seasonal practises. This is the sort of book I have been looking for. A western approach to 'Living Ayurveda' that goes beyond the ghee and tongue scraping.Another thing I've noticed, is that often western Ayurveda authors will often write their own recipes, with their own doshas, and add the other 2 as a side note. This author uses the seasons e.g Spring recipes are Kapha focused, with Vata & Pitta notes, Summer recipes are Pitta focused with Kapha & Vata notes.I really appreciate that, as it allows the reader to feel a bit more included and to judge for themselves which recipes would be better for them.Over all, pleasantly surprised, exactly what I've been hoping to find and will be enjoying throughout the year.
5.0 out of 5 stars What a well plan and design book, worth waiting for
Just to say thank for the great book, I have bought it last year but only now started to read it because came to conclusion that to be just a vegetarian for 20 years isn't enough, that needed Ayurvedic wisdom to get knowledge of how to transform the foods into blessing experience rather than just eating without any awareness. This book is a must have if you are looking to learn more about spiritual practices and awareness of who we really are.
4.0 out of 5 stars Soothing, stylish, a bit low on info
It is a lifestyle book. I have been into Ayurveda so I was hoping for some more keypoints. There wasn't as much info as just the pleasure of a very welll put-together book, pictures, recipes
