Has some great cocktails in this book and it doesnt look like your ordinary recepie book. We put ours out on show to use as decoration. Would make a great gift for someone who enjoys a cocktail or 2

This book aims to cover theatrical cocktails and hence has sections on spherification (making the little tasty gel balls), making foams and use of dry ice. For a beginning book on molecular cocktails (intermediate cocktail book) it seems quite straightforward with little specialist equipment required and only a couple of special ingredients. I must admit that I haven't attempted the more complex techniques yet - and am intending to skip using dry ice entirely - but this book makes the topic seem approachable.I've drunk at Alchemist a few times and find most of their foams a bit sweet for my taste so I'm actually looking forward to making my own versions and tweaking to my taste. Several look like you could skip this element if you wanted to. Unlike the last few cocktail books I've bought or been gifted the alcoholic ingredients are a bit easier to get hold of and they don't emphasise specific brands so if you have a well stocked bar you can probably do most of these drinks.I'd recommend this book if you're used to making basic cocktails and want to up your game. Particularly if you're throwing a party, hen night or occasion for other people who genuinely like cocktails. These are original and modern cocktails and I know that they're tasty as I've had several of the recipes in their bar.

What a lovely gift to give if you’ve been to the bar than you know how spectacular their drinks are and this books now includes how to make them! Looks great on a shelf too

I would recommend this to anyone who wants some cocktail inspiration. The book has so much variety and breaks down the steps really well. There is also a wide variety of recipes to choose from so you will have plenty to try!Buying the book is great, especially as the book feels really premium due to the printing and the really fantastic illustrations. It also has a bookmark with the book, which helps you keep in on the cocktail page as the first few pages come in handy when preparing for the cocktails.It even has an ebook which makes it a great option to read on the go or use to create some great drinks when you don't have the book on you.
