What a lovely collection of short stories by one of the great children’s story tellers. If you wanted pictures this is not the book for your child, but if you want good short five min stories then buy this you will not be disappointed. This was bought for my six year old grandson.

I'd not heard of Enid Blyton until recently and bought this book as a sampler. Wow! Simple, clear, lovely little stories that read out loud just perfectly. I went ahead and bought two of the most popular series sets right away. My wife and I were going to give the sets to a new great-granddaughter, but she's only five months old, so I think we'll keep them for a while and read them all ourselves. This is good stuff!
