Africa, Amazing Africa is Atinuke's first introduction to the African continent – an exciting starting point for young children aged 4+. With double-pages to introduce the different regions of Africa (South, East, West, Central and North), each country is then represented on one page with a colourful half-page illustration from artist Mouni Feddag, a paragraph of descriptive text and then one to three facts, geared towards readers aged four and up; imagined as a diving-off point, to give a sense of the variety of the continent and inspire young readers to find out more about the different countries of Africa.

About the Author

Atinuke is a traditional oral storyteller, and the author of over 30 books for children. Most of Atinuke’s books are set on the amazing African continent where she spent her childhood in the country of Nigeria. Atinuke is the author of the best selling fiction series Anna Hibiscus, as well theThe No.1 Car Spotter and Too Small Tola series. Atinuke also writes picture books - including the bestselling Baby Goes to Market illustrated by Angela Brooksbank. Her non-fiction book Africa, Amazing Africa is illustrated by Mouni Fedeg, and Brilliant Black British History is illustrated by Kingsley Nebechi. Mouni Feddag was born in Nottingham to an Algerian father and an English mother. She grew up in Frankfurt, Germany, where she studied graphic design.
