Really great colourful book to help with writing skills, used by my nephew over the holidays to perfect his writing before returning to school in September! It seemed to reinforce what he'd been learning in school which is positive and the layout/easy read format was super easy for him. Nice and colourful, not too overwhelming but very useful.£3.99 is a good and fair price.Verdict: Recommended.

I got 3 of these books for my 5 year old and we’re planning on working through them over summer to keep his mind fresh and hopefully not go as feral lol. You definitely need an adult or old kiddo to work with your child on these based on the age, as there is instructions on each with words they will understand, but may not be able to read or out fully into context.This builds on the phonics they learn in school and helps teach children how to start structuring the words they know into sentences and paragraphs. It helps teach them ways to think differently about pictures or activities and how to write them out so the reader understands what they are describing. It varies from little sentences, to full blown paragraphs and mini essays, so I would say the age range is probably spot on. Looking forward to working through this one over the next few summers.

Used by a 5 year old, compared to other learning books, we find this more advanced in writing. You may find you'll have to read the tasks to your child rather than they read it to themselves (depending on child's comprehension level).Overall well suited for 5-7 year olds. As the name suggests it is for writing skills, so child should already know how to write letters. The spaces are smaller than a practice book, so it's definitely about refining child's writing

I love any type of home learning book that supports the national curriculum and enables me to support my little one at home in his learning journey. This one is aimed at 5-7year olds and is aimed to be complete in conjunction with parental support.This guide takes you through the technical and creative aspects of writing composition and will motivate your little one to want to learn at home in short bursts. I like that this home learning support is relevant and supportive to both child and parent alike and would certainly recommend the series from what I have seen so far.
